Pros and cons for this model: Pros: 1. The stainless steel finish tends to match other non-Whirlpool kitchen products. The fridge doesn’t necessarily look out-of-place when placed with other brands. 2. Decent price and seemingly frequently on sale although I had to wait until Black Friday to get the best price. 3. Best Buy seemed to offer the best extended warranty program. My previous refrigerator lasted 20 years; all signs point to more recent refrigerator offerings not lasting as long, especially in lieu of digital controls over old-school knob controls. Out of all the available offerings as well as all the competition, I went with the manufacturer, retailer and warranty program that pointed to getting the most mileage out of a big-ticket appliance. Best Buy's offerings had the best that I could find, all things considered. Appliances Manager Levi offered some great assistance as well as fielding twenty questions about everything imaginable, so "Hat's Off!" to great customer assistance at the point of sale. 4. Handles are installed by a setscrew in a recess hole. The obvious discipline is to lubricate both recess and threads of the Allen (hex key) screws before the handle installation to ensure any future removal, if necessary. Some manufacturers and models are not as user-friendly as this one. Cons: 1. If the buyer has to remove the doors in order to get it into the house, be prepared for a challenge. The owner’s manual showed the incorrect screws to remove at the top hinges. The bottom has water connection hoses and brackets that you may need to photograph in order to make sure reconnection is done properly. Even the guys in the YouTube video about removing the doors on this exact same model complained about the lack of proper engineering behind this door application. Be prepared if you, too, have to remove the doors. Add to that screws on the bottom of the skids in the shipping assembly have to be removed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to have two people when unpacking this refrigerator as it has to be tipped up and get as much weight off the bottom in order to remove the plastic skids. 2. Other manufacturers and models had better space accommodations in the freezer department around the top where the ice maker is located. Some space is wasted for accommodating the front of the ice maker where other models have an additional shelf for food storage. 3. No cantilever shelves in the refrigerator for user-designated, at-will shelf height. Whirlpool shelves—at least on this model—are all fixed-height. They do offer an additional crisper drawer, which is nice. It would be nicer to have multiple built-in cantilever brackets and shelves, especially around holiday times where some larger food items like turkeys can be better accommodated for the time being. After the larger items are used, shelf heights can be quickly restored to previous levels. It would be easy for Whirlpool to reconfigure and add cantilever shelves and shelf brackets. 4. Kinda weird temperature control. The best end-user discipline for getting the most mileage out of an appliance is to set the temp controls where the refrigerator keeps food at optimum storage temps while not making it work too hard to do so. Out of the five available settings for each compartment, my freezer temp is set at the lowest level and the temp still bottoms out at zero degrees. On the other hand, the refrigerator temp control is set at level 3 and the temp stays about 32 to 33 degrees.; i.e., not cold enough to freeze but easily cold enough to keep milk and food at least up to an expiration date without going bad. While those temps at that level aren't bad, it would appear that the controls and system for the refrigerator compartment have to work harder to keep the best temp. It would be better if the end-user could set BOTH compartment levels at the lowest setting(s) and still get the desired temps for both the best (and longest) possible food storage while making it possible for the refrigerator to not work as hard to get those temps. The less the refrigerator has to work, the longer it would last.

Overall, the refrigerator is very sleek and I have found the unit to be very quiet and holding temperature. My one complaint is that the refrigerator side lighting seems very dim. I’m trying to research but the model did not come with an upper light shield which I’m not sure it should have but is definitely limiting light flow on the upper shelves and to the left side

Good size, works great, led lighting is nice, only thing people should be aware of is that the fridge is not the same exact one as this picture shows because the little panel above the water and ice dispenser area is actually black, not white, which I kinda expected since that is how this model looks on the whirlpool website, I was hoping that part would be white like the picture but oh well, still looks really nice, best buy needs to correct the picture on their site

Looks nice works great in cooling food .. had to have the 1st one replaced due to the ice machine not working. The second one is working fine, but still in doubt if it will have the same problem. And missing the can soda holder.

Chose this refrigerator because it had the deli drawer and most do not. Works great after a month. Love the space I have now. Not loud as some people suggested. Chipped ice can spray out a little but not a big deal. Refrigerator side door swings a little fast if not careful.

In general after 3 weeks it works properly no Big issues as I read on some reviews before: no noisy and not moving when u open the doors. Only issue is: the water drops after use the water dispenser. It is normal some drops due the dispenser system and the tray it suppose it is to collect that water drops. But in this model the water dispenser is in front and ice dispenser on the back the water drops fall on the border of the tray. So the drops jumps to the floor or slide down on the door. We use a lot the water dispenser so we must be cleaning the water drops from the floor or door which is annoying!!! Other than than no more issues

This Whirlpool fridge works great, cools really well, and is spacious inside. It looks nice in the kitchen and, while not super quiet, doesn’t make much noise either. Delivery was on time and installation was quick and professional. Would highly recommend it.

To begin with, I am giving a rating a 3 based on the following - 1. Size (Positive) 2. Price (Positive) 3. Delivery (Positive) 4. Installation (Negative) 5. Sales Personnel at Best Buy (Negative) 6. Overall condition of the product as advertised by Best Buy (Negative) I was shopping for a refrigerator and had narrowed down my options to side-by-side ones because the 3 or 4 doors were too big and seemed to be taking a lot of space away. This side-by-side I came across at Best Buy checked a lot of boxes. The size at 24.5cu.ft was a decent one for my needs. I liked the fact that this was Stainless Steel and advertised at around $500 below the "New" condition (mine was listed as a Floor Model in Excellent Condition). I had asked the Sales person at the store to tell me if there were any damages for which he stated there is none and that it was in "Excellent" condition as mentioned on the sticker. I trusted him and went ahead and paid. When the unit arrived home (delivered as scheduled with no delays), I noticed there was a huge dent on the back (to the side) of the unit. The delivery folks stated they picked it up as is from the store and are delivering it and that they know nothing of it. When I read through the Best Buy terms for when an item is listed in "Excellent" condition, it states that it should be free from dents, scratches or scruffs when mine was clearly not. Also, this was listed as a "Floor Model", but I found some sort of food particles in the fridge and I had to extensively clean the whole unit soon after it was delivered. Not the kind of experience I want to go through for an "Excellent" condition "Floor Model" unit (must have been a return from a customer or something, which is again a miss by the Sales personnel or the Manager of this particular Best Buy location). I also noticed that the non-freezer side door was popping slightly out when compared to the freezer door. Everything seems to be working in the fridge (even the doors seem to be shut tight) but I still think that the doors need to be leveled up. This is where I had an issue with the installation of this unit. It seems a bit squeaky when I open that side of the door indicating that the leg might need to be adjusted for it to sit flush on the floor. The delivery personnel were in a rush to get my signature and leave and did not pay attention to the level issue I was mentioning. Isnt that part of their installation procedure where they ensure that the refrigerator is not wobbly or in this case squeaking when left at the consumers location? Overall this experience with BestBuy has been far from being satisfactory. I am glad I bought my washer/dryer from another store that were more courteous with prompt communications being sent to me. When those delivery guys were in, they called up an Executive who then verified with me over the phone on the installation and that there was no damage during the process. That felt good, however, Best Buy's wasnt along those lines. Most of my issues thus far has been with Best Buy's Sales, delivery and installation and not the actual product itself. I bought three year warranty on this unit and so I am going to wait to see how it performs. If it starts to give me issues, I am having it returned right back. I might contact Whirlpool to have someone sent over to check on the doors not being in alignment. I will provide an update on the product itself, once I have used it for some time. I wanted to write this review so other buyers who are somewhat crunched for cash, when looking to get a Floor Model or any fridge in "Excellent" condition from Best Buy, please do your due diligence. Insist on the Sales personnel to show you the actual condition of the item you are intending to buy because you could be in for a surprise when the unit you ordered gets delivered to you. Thanks!

Great purchase! Beautiful design and quality material, also affordable price. Smart storage capacity. I always rely on Whirlpool brand. Recently bought it for my new home. Thank you BestBuy!

It has been a year since I purchased this item. Generally, I love it because it enhances the general look of my not-so-modern kitchen. My one concern would be the ice-maker/water amenities. I am not sure if it's a people problem or a product problem. The water element light is on right now even though we just installed a new water purifier. The ice tray stopped working recently. I have put in an order for service for that. The bottom doesn't look like its well put together, but I do not put a lot of focus on that. I really like this refrigerator, just wanted to mention some of my concerns.

Great Refrigerator. Very roomy in fridge and freezer. Easy to arrange shelves. Took a little getting used to the drawers but they work very well. And the stainless look is awesome.

Excellent Purchase! It does everything that it's supposed to. The only thing that I don't like about it, is the water dispenser. It needs to be further into the door so it doesn't drip in the floor when you pull your glass away

We just received this new fridge after switching out a counter depth one. Our only issues with it is #1 The wheels doesn't have a stopper on them, so we had to put door jams under it to stop it from rolling forward when we open it #2. This fridge is kinda loud at night when the compressor kicks on. The first couple of days we thought it was our AC kicking on at times. Other than that it's a solid fridge for now.

Our lasr Whirlpool refrigerator gave out recently after about 2 years of service…..coukd not find exact one so was told by repairman that this was almost the same model. We really like the new one, almost as much as previous one! It seens to have slightly less storage space but makes up fir it with a bigger ice bucket. Ice was made slowly at first but since the bin was filled, it has not been low. The biggest downside is the ice and water dispenser. They are fine when filled a regular sized cup but bigger ones are difficult. I often have to push the ice kever by hand. The water dispenser is small and in a tight location- this makes it easy for big water bottles to slip off. But overall we highly recommend this refrigerator - Whirlpool has been so good to us (laundry and microwave are tye same brand) - they last snd last!
