I’ve only had it installed for a week but so far so good. I had it professionally installed via Best Buy onto a concrete floor in my basement. The first time I ran it through I just let it choose it’s own settings for water temp and spin dry and soil. Then once I got the hang of it I now choose my own settings. If I’m washing towels then heavy soil high temp. If work clothes then delicate low temp low soil. The high soil option for towels takes 2+ hours but these towels smell like new. Delicates take 40 mins. Average load takes about an hour.

Long story short, we had an LG top loader that was awful and could never finish a load without going out of balance no matter what we did to fix it. We finally opted to upgrade and I in no way regret it. All my clothes smell great, the spin can sometimes get a little crazy starting off, but it spins my clothes nearly dry. I would not recommend this washer if you’re looking for something quiet. We have ours in the second floor hallway laundry closet and from downstairs it sounds like a helicopter taking off. As long as you don’t mind the noise, this is a wonderful machine and offers many helpful features.

Washing machine is actually very good. No problem it’s sleek and quiet. Getting the matching dryer in a week. Have a very small kitchen and for it to be big enough to fit my king size comforter with space. I LOVE IT. had to purchase the pedestal it just goes together

Washer stopped working within 45 days. I’ve had repair people here twice. They can’t get it working. Machine won’t drain. Sometimes has leaked on the floor. Don’t waste your money. You are better off just throwing clothes in a bathtub with detergent and water. We are in the middle of a pandemic. I don’t want people to keep coming to my house when it can’t be fixed. Hopefully whirlpool does the right thing and replaces defective appliance. Also been on hold trying to get this resolved for an hour.

The most disgusting purchase i ever made in my life was the Maytag top loader washing machine. It does not clean anything properly. The Whirlpool top loader works great and it cleans so much better. Its very easy to use and the controls totally makes sense. I love the fact that the top row of buttons is labeled as a group WHAT ARE YOU WASHING then the buttons below is labeled HOW ARE YOU WASHING IT. Then it automatically sets up the water temp and spin cycle. Besides pressing the extra rinse button, thats pretty much it. Also i want to mention that its very quiet.

    EFFICIENT MACHINE

This machine has helped considerably with our electric bill and also reduced the amount of water consumed for each wash. Very efficient and always does a phenomenal job. It can handle all size of loads and types of loads. We're a medium sized 2 adult household and we do tend to get a lot of laundry so we figured we'd go with the larger unit. ONE BIG COMPLAINT TO WHIRLPOOL: These model units have no lighting inside the actual machines. You can't see the inside of the machines even when the doors are opened. Please think about adding some form of lights to the machine so when the door is open you can see what is inside without too much hassle.

This washing machine is a great companion to Whirlpool's large ventless dryer. The two stack very well and are stable when either or both are running. The washer has a large capacity, but still fits in a closet that is 34" deep. For an apartment with a laundry closet, this is a huge win as it is possible to do 4 sets of sheets, an entire hamper of clothes, or 4 sets of towels in a single load. Saves a lot of time having to do one load instead of two! The other nice feature is the load n go reservoir, which can hold a lot of detergent and dispense an amount based on the size of the load. I thought this would be a silly feature I might not use that much, but having it means there is one thing less to have to worry about when starting a load of laundry and that the use of the detergent is more efficient. Overall, highly recommend this washer, especially when paired with the companion ventless dryer!

Average washer with a terrible Load & Go feature

The washer is okay. It gets the job done but I have been having problems with it shortly after I bought it and started using it. The “Load & Go” feature is good in theory but it really doesn’t work too well. The “bin” that you pour the detergent into leaks really badly in the bottom of the drawer, at the bottom of the inside of the machine, and on the floor when you open the drawer. And lately, when I’ve had large loads washing, it Suds Locks like you’ve used both the Load & Go feature AND put detergent in the top drawer where the fabric softener and bleach go (which I haven’t used both soap dispensers at the same time) and I’ve had to shut off the machine and restart it with no soap so it can finish washing the load. Whirlpool needs to go back to the drawing board and rethink the Load & Go feature. They either need to fix it where my problems don’t occur to other people or just do away with the whole Load & Go concept. Think hard about purchasing this machine because I probably would not buy this machine again. I miss my old Duet front loader that worked well for 10 years before it broke down from heavy use and I had to buy this one.

I've had it for almost a full month now. The good is it cleans great. Clothing, full bath towels and bath sheets, bedding sheets, etc comes out way cleaner then before. It's easy to use and has a very large tub. It's a good looking machine (if that matters to anyone) and doesn't use much water to work so well. My previous machine was also a front loader (General Electric) that I purchased new 15 years ago. It still worked but it was tired. My previous Whirlpool was a top loader that I owned from new for several years before the GE front loader so I'm familiar with the brand. The bad is that this machine is unusually loud compared to my previous much older machine. I don't know why it has to be this loud with a near $1000 price point. Two words Whirlpool "Sound Deadening". It's in my garage and I can hear it from anywhere in the house. My two previous machines weren't loud like that. It lacks some features that lower cost brands (including my previous GE) have like "Delay Start" but for a few hundred more you can get that feature on the upgraded model. It should be on this machine for the price. That's about it for the bad. It's loud and lacks some features it should have for the cost. Other than that it does a great job of cleaning with little water use.

We have had this frontload washer for a few weeks now. We cannot believe how quiet this machine is during all cycles including the spin cycle. We had a whirlpool duet before and this one is quieter than that with a much larger capacity. We now are able to put the amount of clothes in that they say you can and they come out clean And smelling fresh. I would highly recommend this washer for anybody it has been wonderful.

I recently moved so this is my second Whirlpool washer in 4 years with the Load & Go feature. This model varied from my last one in how/where to load the detergent for this feature and I had a problem with unclear instructions in the Owners Guide so was not using my newer model properly. Load & Go detergent must be loaded in the bottom drawer for this model (my 4 year old model just used the regular detergent drawer). I wish I had understood this before Best Buy gave me a new washer after my complaint since it appears that my problem was owner error. Love the machine, even though it is 'closet size', which was not mentioned on the BB site, so it's deeper and narrower than I expected but not a problem since I have space for this. Also like the steam function which works well for items I forgot to hang up right away or were folded in a dresser drawer -- no ironing!
