Many appreciate its compatibility with various internet service providers. However, some customers find the price high and express concerns about the wireless range and signal strength. We bought the router from Best Buy because we needed access to our comcast phones. The old router no longer supported our phone. Comcast was closed. Calculating the $ 250 BB Cost .It would have been more prudent to just lease the router from comcast. The only way it would have been a winning purchase :If Cost was $100 or less.from BB.

It gets the job done works great if you need home phone service with your internet. Also a great option if you no longer want to pay a monthly fee to rent a modem.

I purchased this modem because previous modem would not work with WAH company's equipment. Modem is overpriced but had no choice because internet provider could not help.

We researched many competitor models, and with the help of Comcast recommendation expertise, chose this model for dual-band internet and voice needs. We were surprised to find that few modems on the market have voice (landline) capabilities, but this one certainly does the trick! No issues and a good value.

Same equipment as my ISP, but not at $6 a month. Plus I have more control over it. Added a wireless router upstairs and it covers the whole house. Good stuff.

purchased because I wanted to own my router vs renting from Xfinity, You have to have this unit to have a phone jack which is cheaper to have the Triple play plan vs the Double play. The unit is to expensive and the internet service through this unit is way slower than the rental unit.

It's just like the one, comcast uses. But it's mine and I don't have to pay a monthly fee. Should have it paid off in about 18 months. Well worth it. So far no problems d everything works fine. Still works if, phone goes out or if internet goes out. Only total power failure will effect all three systems.

This is an older model - or I should say out of date model. I would wait until Comcast makes the current technology available. Ours was constantly losing connection to Comcast as well. We returned it.

Was able to pick up item at a close by local store. Then was installed by new internet provider (Comcast-internet & phone only) & has worked well so far.

We were having trouble for 3 weeks with our internet and had the company out several times. They finally realized we needed a higher quality modem/router. They suggested this one and it has worked GREAT!!!

The phone and LAN lines work very well. I enjoy not having to pay the monthly rental fee for the device. However the wireless signal is quite poor. If I am more than 15 feet from the router the connection is intermittent. I will probably have to buy a long range wireless router to have internet throughout my entire home (which isn't that large of a home). I can't even get a signal through a wall.

Had to buy this when I bundled my cable, internet , & phone. It works ok. Have had some service issues, but I think it's the cable company and not the box .

Bought it so I wouldn't have to pay comcast a rental fee for the exact same modem. Only complaint is that the hardwired connection is faster than the wifi.
