Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the ease of use, modem performance, and setup of the ARRIS Touchstone DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and Wireless Router with Telephony Adapter. Many appreciate its compatibility with various internet service providers. However, some customers find the price high and express concerns about the wireless range and signal strength. The modem works fine and is good for your phone connection with Comcast. The router was very poor and after numerous calls to Comcast and Arris I had to finally give up and bypass the router in this and go back to using my old router. Very disappointed after spending this much money that the router couldn't be fixed to work without dropping the wifi connection constantly.

We were looking for something to replace the modem we rent from Comcast. The associate at Best Buy assured us that this would work with our existing set-up which included a wireless router and extender. Unfortunately, after wasting an evening getting this set up and phone calls with Comcast and Arris, I found out that you can't turn off the Wi-Fi on this model.

Didn't say if it has a coax port or not. I'd recommend it if anyone has a non coax ported internet.

My rating is based on my experience and may be harsh for all the great ones that are working for others. Unfortunately neither myself or my cable company was able to get this modem to function even when they came out and tried for over 3 hours. Will have to return it. Hoping its just a freak thing and that the replacement one will function properly

I'm giving this 2 stars not because of the product itself but because of the service provider.

I purchase this modem to replace the one I have from Spectrum. When I opened the box I found out the new modem was for Comcast customers only. Nowhere on the box or your website stated this requirement. I had to waste my time and gas to return it. I would think the requirement would be listed somewhere I could view before I bought it.

I purchased the modem end of May and less than two months later the modem is not working properly. Internet service provider swapped out the modem with another unit and no problem with internet connection. Trying to figure out whether I can exchange or return as otherwise total waste of money.

The Ethernet ports put out rated speed, but other then that, WiFi is very slow. Both of my Brother printers will not stay connected to where I can scan or print without shutting them dow and restarting them. Customer service with Arris is less then desirable.

Wifi sucks, signal diminishes 2 rooms away. Had to buy because its the only one available with phone jacks for Comcast phone service. I would only recommend for those who have Comcast phone service and don't want to keep paying rent on the same modem from Comcast.

Not even what Xfinity currently gives out for rental. I got it because it was the only one available that handled phone too! But... it was so bad for Internet speed that I had to go back to the rental! A TOTAL WASTE OF MY MONEY!!!!

Salesman said it was same as router Comcast rents. Got it home and did the comparison- this router uses older wireless protocol; not 802.11ac as on Comcast's. Would have made economic sense to buy if it were the same. But it wasn't and back it went

Apparently, Comcast will be discontinuing this model. These are only worth the purchase if they are going to outlast the $10/month charge to rent one from Comcast. This one was nothing but trouble for us. The wifi was spotty. Will be returning.

The modem is fine and works with Xfinity internet. The Wifi is terrible and does not reach even the next floor. I am using another more powerful product for Wifi. All problems have been rectified using another Wifi system.
