Customers are saying

Customers commend the engaging gameplay, compelling story, and high-quality extras included in the "After Hours Premium Edition," such as the glasses and art book. Many praise the overall value and appreciate the collector's edition aspects. While some find the battle system less refined than in previous installments, the positive feedback on other features outweighs this criticism. The game's action and mini-games are also frequently highlighted as enjoyable aspects.

    Kiryu does nothing smalltime

FULL REVIEW: https://wp.me/p4T35p-fS7 Let me address a few questions that you may have. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is not as fun as last year's Yakuza 0. That does not mean it is bad, but you will miss elements like Majima and Mr. Shakedown. The game is very nostalgic in its storytelling and has a tone, not unlike the first Yakuza (Kiwami). This is the culmination of twenty-eight years in the life of a now beloved, badass character. Remember that he is basically a tragic hero, so do not expect all sunshine and rainbows. I think that fans of the series will enjoy the plot. Regardless, do not be afraid to make this your jumping on point as the story is standalone. I mentioned that this game has glitches but there is nothing nearly game-breaking to worry about. For some reason, the internet likes to make comparisons to Grand Theft Auto. I can assure you that GTA V and Online have many more technical issues. As of the publishing of this review, I have put in at least a full day (24 hours) of play time. The biggest complaint I have is the inability to turn off the auto-save. Despite five separate save files I have to wait until my next playthrough to experience certain moments again. This is because the auto-save does not necessarily overwrite the file you are currently using. I hope a patch allows it to be disabled. As a PlayStation 4 exclusive, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life must be experienced unless you hate the genre. It is literally one of the games that further justifies and enhances your purchase of the console. Not to mention that fan support has shown SEGA that this franchise is just as popular outside of the Asian market. I make a big deal about games not being worth their price tags; this is not one of those instances.

    END OF AN ERA

This is the final game for Kazuma Kiryu-- though not the final Yakuza game. But this is the end of Kiryu's decade long story, a beautiful story might I add. I purchased the After Hours edition and it was VERY worth the purchase. The photos do not do justice to the bar glasses or ice stones, the designs look much better in person and the glasses feel nice and cold, most of all with the ice stones in them. The art book is full of fan art and also a lot of design art for characters, and the game comes in this cool collectible box. I love this purchase, and it's the first collector's type of game I've bought and it's definitely worth a buy. I loved it, and now I'm going to go play the game! Ciao!

Love the collectors set, wanted the glasses quite a bit, GCU helped, the series is like a successor to shenmue but way more polished following kiryu throughout all of his trials, from start to finish, glad they are bringing more of this out, i played 0 , got the first and this, the second remake comes out later this year and 3-5 are being remade to, no reason to to grab them all, they can be time sinks or you can just play the main story and skip the rest.

HUGE IMPROVEMENT from Yakuza 0. Obviously 0 had some stuff that was better... but overall this is a much more polished product. The difference is that this game was made for the ps4... so you're going to see a huge difference in graphics. I think this is a great place for people to start who aren't sure where to start in the series. There's 7 main games... 0 came out last year... they recently re-made part 1 for the ps4 (it was a ps2 game) then there's part 4 & 5 on the ps3. I'm not sure if part 2 was on the ps3 as well.. if not it was on the ps2. This is more of a fighting game... but you can use a lot of things in your environment as weapons. There are weapons and stuff you can buy... but they dont last very long. You're going to be doing a lot of punching and kicking... this is not GTA i think this is a must buy for anyone who likes stuff like this.

Yakuza 6 is fantastic throughout and a joy to play through. Can't wait for the Shin Yakuza series to begin. The glasses from the collector's edition are super nice and the artbook is gorgeous. 5 stars on all of it. A must have on PS4.

My experience with the Yakuza series started with 0 when SEGA made the brave decision to bring Kiryu and Co stateside. With 0 having critical acclaim and Kiwami 1 doing very well, a jump to 6 might confuse some people. Fortunately SEGA added excerpts in the main menu to get everyone on the same page. The battle systems are not quite as crisp as 0 (Maybe Kiryu has gotten older and forgotten some of his moves?) but he's still a powerhouse. The story is quite satisfying and the twist caught me by surprise. Don't worry about missing Kiwami 2-5, as they'll be coming stateside. Enjoy Yakuza for what it is.

    My FAVORITE Special Edition ever

I really love this Special Edition. Usually whenever a game tries to sell you on their Collector's Edition it just includes a Steelbook and a tiny Artbook (or even a digital one) but this one comes with some really cool drinking glasses. It also includes some coasters and ice rocks to go with the glasses. It just SCREAMS Yakuza which I love. These aren't just for show either, they are well made and can be used. The game itself is also great. It's probably one of the weaker Yakuza games but honestly it is still a GREAT game.

Great game with a great send off for Kiryu Kazama. Story is gripping and interesting with lots of twist and turns and the mini games are great as always. I recommend playing 0-5 before this one, as it really starts off after 5 and this one may be difficult to get into with prior knowledge of the characters.

This edition of the game comes with an artbook, 2 drinking glasses, and some whiskey stones. I love Yakuza and with the originals being re-released on PS4 it is a great time for newcomers to the series to jump in. If you want to skip around in the series there are catalogs of cutscenes you can watch to get caught up although it will take you a while. Yakuza is a fun beat em up game with tons of mini games and a great story.

If you enjoy old beat 'em up of the good old SNES days of classics such as Street of Rage or Batman Returns, you're in for a treat with this new entry of the Yakuza series. Not only do you get insanely fun game play but also a really deep and engaging story. Also, the side stories are insanely hilarious and will keep you laughing for days!! Highly recommended!!

This is hands down the best God of War game in the series. An amazing sequel/reboot of the franchise. Combat is fantastic and has some nice surprises! Story is great, character development is great, music is solid, character advancement and the semi-open world(s) are wonderful! Oh, and this is one of the best looking games on the PS4. Love it!

Even if you've never played a game in the series this one is worth a go. If you have any interest in Japanese culture this is about as close as you're going to get to it without actually going to the country. Great story, fun combat, and a well realized world to explore.

This is the release to go for if you are wanting yakuza 6. The glasses are sturdy, the ice stones are nice but are nothing impressive, the art book has a bunch of great fan artwork and the coasters round out everything else completely.

Combine the action-heavy and combat based gameplay of typical Yakuza-Type games with a plethora of minigames and over hyped babysitting. Fantastic for fans of the series, newcomers may want to start with Yakuza 0 and Kiwami however.

The game itself is what you'd come to expect from the Yakuza games. It's more polished and has better graphics, but it's still that great Yakuza gameplay we've come to love. Now onto the LE. It's a great LE for fans of the series. The black box with the two famous tattoo designs it all comes in is just a beautiful piece to put on display. The coasters have clan kanji on them they look really awesome. And finally the glasses are SO much better quality than i was expecting. I was expecting small shot glasses, but these are nice sized alcohol glasses. Mine weren't broken fortunately, but one of my friends glasses were broken so be careful!

Each standalone Yakuza game is a continuation of the saga, so trying to jump into #6 without knowing much of the previous titles will be more challenging despite some backstory summaries. Yakuza is the closest to Shenmue where you roam the heck out of Tokyo and do a lot of stuff that are not really related to the overarching story. A lot of these are "time wasters" but in #6, most of them are not. The saga is getting a bit repetitive and dull but it is still a fun adventure game.
