I was not told that this door lock needed a zwave controller and it had to be with a security company. I am very disappointed in the product especially since it is already installed. I am going to have to find someone to uninstall the lock and hopefully get my old lock put back in the door. I am very disappointed.

I had a problem setting this up. Thwn the lock was to tight and didn't work right. I had to return this after it wouldn't unlock multiple times

I am so disappointed with this lock. I heard great reviews and had high expectations. The lock is gorgeous, a beautiful piece of work to showcase and the quality of the material demonstrates true crafmanship. It's simple to install. It took me 15 minutes. However, programming this lock so that you can actually use it has been a nightmare. Right now it has no smart functions that are beneficial to me. I can't lock or open the door. It doesn't allow me to create the master pin, thereby, rendering this lock in operable. The screen doesn't allow me to click on the keys as directed by the manual to setup the master pin. The touch screen disappears. If you must setup the master pin to access any functionality. I wouldn't recommend this lock and it is being returned

I normally do not write reviews but for this particular one really taking the responsibility to write one. First of all customer service number from Yale is horrible. How come this time and age there is no one to answer a phone call plus you are not even allowed to leave a voice mail Initially I thought its a problem with my device. I replaced the device twice, installed it twice and still it can not connect with Alexa or smart hub. If you are looking for home automation look for a different brand where you can at least talk to someone for help.

Do NOT buy this lock. The keypad never worked properly. Yale has sent us two replacements-which took months by the way-and neither of those worked either. This most recent one just stopped working while locked and Yale's only response was that we better call a locksmith. This lock is a month old and has brand new batteries. So the upshot is that the product is garbage and Yale does NOT stand behind their products.

This lock is good for thick doors but doesnt last.
