    I give this 4 stars when comparing this to the “elite” version. I would say buy this if you can find a good sale price for it. If not I would spend the little bit of extra money on the elite version. The elite is easier to change the tones and it’s over design looks nicer. Also my classic has been making a bit of a strange noise when you first turn it on. It’s like the fan is scraping dust inside or a bearing/shaft is loose. Though after a few minutes the vibrational noise goes away.

    If you're looking for something simple, it doesn't get any easier than this. One sound and two volume settings. I use mine in my bedroom every night. It has become part of the bedtime routine and I think it helps ensure a better night sleep. Very pleased with this purchase.

    Noisy rushing air. Adjustable vents to increase and decrease air flow. Not soothing. Background noise. I returned device.

    We’ll made natural sound from a real fan. Adjusting the sound level is easy and intuitive … simply twist the top or the bottom and find your right white noise level.

    Before I even opened the box, I saw there is a warning sign for cancer and reproductive harm!!! DO NOT BUY! There are plenty of other sound machines without this warning sign. Highly disappointed as there is no mention of P65 under the product description. Returning immediately without even opening the box

      The safety of you and everyone in your household is extremely important to us. We evaluate and test all our sound machines against all required safety and health requirements, both at the state and federal level. If you are not familiar, Proposition 65 is a law that was passed in California in 1986 requiring companies to provide Californians with warnings about exposure to chemicals that can cause bodily harm. The state has compiled a list of those chemicals and updates it at least once a year. That list has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987 and you will find everyday products like coffee, alcohol, and gasoline often carry the same warning in California. The law requires the disclosure even if trace amounts of the chemical are present and even if that level poses no threat to consumer health and well-being. We believe our products are safe for all of our customers and any inadvertent trace levels of chemicals within our products are deemed well below any safety concern. The warning is provided to allow consumers to assess their individual risks.

    While the sound is pleasant, it was not loud enough to block out distractive noises. Returned it.
