I have purchased both Zagg products and cheaper screen protectors. And some of those are excellent, also. It would be my opinion that Zagg protectors are more costly because of their replacement policy. In essence Zagg has you purchase the protectors and the free replacement coverage at the same time. Assuming one is sufficiently wise to register their product and keep the receipt, it has been my experience that Zagg will replace a damaged screen protector promptly at no cost. Given the quality of their glass protectors, I can recommend this. I give it four instead of five stars because there are occasions where I would prefer a less expensive screen protector without the free coverage replacement.
