    Not easy, but worthwhile

    It was not an easy process, but worthwhile. My remodeled kitchen was needed something flat on the ceiling, so nothing would block the view from it into the great room. The unit is very heavy and my first shipment came damaged. Unfortunately it took me almost a week to discover it when I fully opened the box. Best Buy handled it very well and i got a replacement with no problems. Yes, I had to wait for it again almost another month, but I was set on this model. While waiting I had HVAC specialists to do all the prep work in the attic and we build the frame for the unit. We live in ranch style house and it really helped, that they could freely move above the kitchen ceiling. Upon delivery of a replacement, the motor installation was pretty straight forward process. But due to it heavy weight, it took 2 man inside the kitchen and one in the attic to complete the installation. It’s very fragile and unfortunately guys have bent one of the corners slightly, it’s not very noticeable. It’s working great! It looks fantastic! I love to leave it on a soft light for the ambient atmosphere in the kitchen even if it’s not in use. the remote works well, but you have to push the buttons with pause for a full second, not a quick poke. I would absolutely recommend it, but make sure you’ll get an experienced installers.

    Not ready for prime time. VERY frustrated!

    Right now it is a ZERO!! From installation, the remote did not work. Unfortunately, I did not look at the reviews for the app, it would have told me so much more, like about the connectivity of this device in general. I LOVE the look of the unit, BUT the Bluetooth does not work AND the remote does not work. I could get up on a LADDER each time to turn it on?!? NOPE, not doing THAT!! Customer Support sent out a technician and all he was able to do (good guy, bad product) was validate that EVERYTHING I had tried and trouble shot with the company on the phone was valid. As of now, they are sending out a new Wi-Fi panel. Very much hoping that will work but neither the technician nor I have a lot of hope in that. If that does not work, how long is it going to be for me to get a whole new unit? If that does not work then I have a 45"Wx25"H hole in my ceiling that I will have to find another solution for??? I WILL UPDATE REVIEW as time goes by to let you know if anything does in fact work
