So, the concept is wonderful. Install was a breeze. When it works, it's great. When it doesn't - it's harrowing. There are times where the app and website simply can't find the car. Even if it's in a known good cell area. I think that the Zubie servers are just jammed up. It's a shame. I'll continue using it, but won't renew the service unless things get better

We bought the Zubie key for a used car we bought for our 16 year old daughter to drive to school. I'm not very technically savvy, but the app is really easy to use. You can define locations (like school, home, etc.) and you get notifications when the car arrives or leaves those locations. Our daughter isn't driving yet, but it gives us great peace of mind to know that we'll be able to "see" where the car is at any time, and will be notified if it leaves the school when it shouldn't. The car diagnostic data is a great bonus. So far, there haven't been any problems, but its an older car with over 100k miles - its good to know that when something does go wrong, I'll know more about the problem before I take it in for repair. I highly recommend this product to any family with teen drivers (or with aging parents).

Bought it to have my Honda constantly sending signals whenever the key is turned up. Taped and hide the Odb2 in between shift box just in case they tried too steal it. Love it kept track of gas (Tax) , location, peace of mind, and reads minor problems, which were spot on! :D Both me and my pops have one.

I went on trip to san diego and parked my car in park n ride for a week. I have old battery but while in San Diego Zubie alerted me on time that my battery is really low so i was able to make arrangements to get it jump started at the park n ride before I got back to Minneapolis. Love it!

Zubie seems innocuous enough, but it's actually big brother in trojan horse! Read their privacy information, they sell your driving data (including whether you speed or not) to insurance companies. You are basically allowing a company monitor your driving for the benefit of the insurance companies. All the while you pay them the fee to do it. At least Geico, All state, et al... take a % off your insurance bill and the device is free. Also, their tracking information is 100% allowed to be taken by police/ law enforcement if you were involved in a car accident or supposedly in a crime. Serious 4,5,6th amendment issues.

I also purchased this unit when it was $60. I really enjoy how informative the unit keeps me...her arrival and departure time to and from work. This unit will be very helpful for me to monitor my daughter vehicle's engine while she is away for college.

I bought in late 2014. The first two or three weeks, it worked great. It located my car perfectly every time. Then I noticed there were a couple of times when it reported my car "In Progress" or moving for 3 or 4 hours, when I knew for a fact it was stationary. Did it a couple of times. Eventually, it got back to working again.Will it do that again? I do not know. Is it a glitch? So with 10 months to go before I start paying monthly fee, I am not sure I want to.

Simple "set it and forget it" setup - plug it in and it just works. I purchased my Zubie keys for the vehicle insight and health features, but I'm truly delightedly by the place notification capability. It has simplified my family's day to day scheduling routine, in ways I wasn't expecting. Gone are the days of the "where are you and when will you get here" phone calls and subsequent unanswered voicemail (because a mobile phone was dead or forgotten), instead Zubie automatically alerts us in realtime.

After so many years I had to change from zubie to another service because the quality of service has gone down drastically And they don’t care

My mom had a stroke 2 years ago and I have been worried about her driving on her own. I decided to try the Zubie Key so we know she is safe when out and about. My dad installed it very easily. We setup a geofence for home, the grocery store and a few friends houses, and all of Castle Rock...so we know if she is driving where she should be. My dad gets alerts on his Android phone. Looked at other "senior trackers" but they were really expensive and had high monthly fees.

Bought this for my teenager to help avoid breakdowns while she's on the road. Especially love that it monitors her battery. The warning lights seem to come on often in her older Honda and this product helps us decide whether it needs to go to the auto shop or not. I know this will save us money, and I feel better about her being on the road now that she has it.

The device works just as the description stated but the renewal every year is something I can't afford. Will be returning for that reason only.

I received my Zubie and downloaded the android app to set up. I was all the way to the end of the setup and the app crashed. Now when I try to activate the key it just says the key is pending activation by another user. The software is very slow and buggy. It randomly crashes and will not setup correctly. I tried even using it with the location finder just using cell phone gps, but it was showing locations that were NO where near the persons location. It is a great idea, but this company falls way short of creating a good product. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy this product. Maybe it will be good in a couple of years, but it is in Beta testing at the best.
