LOVE IT!...It's ok...If you are looking to have a nice background blur in your portrait pictures this lens its what you need, also the STM make this lens really quite if you are recording video, cheers....The revised Canon 50mm is a nice improvement from the prior model - with a larger (and more quiet) focus ring and better auto-focus (along with sharp photos and a great price) - this one lens any photographer should not be without.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Standard Lens: Capture important moments in your life with this standard lens, which works with your compatible Canon DSLR EF-mount camera. A circular aperture with 7 blades helps you add creative background blur.
Love it...Nifty 50...Love the lense, it is everything I had hoped it would be, but due to the ignorance of the Best Buy employees I ended up returning the lense to Best Buy and then purchasing it AGAIN at a camera store....The 50mm lens from Nikon gives you the very best quality images , of course if accompanied by a great Nikon camera I am using it on my Nikon D2X, it works wonderfully and have taken very high quality pictures.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: A perfect everyday lens for any photographer, the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G offers fast autofocusing combined with an integrated lens coating to deliver clear and crisp images. The wide-open aperture is ideal for low-light shooting and creating images with beautiful background blur.
a must buy...Great buy!...I have used this lens outdoors without and with the lens hood, indoors for pics of my kids and family especially during these holidays, inside and outside of historical sites/museums we have visited - all with GREAT results....After I upgraded my nikon d3100 to a d3300 I started reading lots of reviews telling me to get a 50mm lense for Sharp photos and these reviews were right except for 1 thing, on a camera with a crop sensor 50 is closers to 75mm due to crop factor and 35 is really close to 50.
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: Whether you're a beginner or professional, you'll love this compact, lightweight lens from Nikon. The normal angle of view captures approximately what the human eye sees, making it a great all-around lens. Plus, the f/1.8 maximum aperture is ideal for creating softly blurred backgrounds and shooting in low light.
Great Lens...good lens...This is a good zoom for beggining.Good image quality in outdoors.Best if used with a tripod or monopod. There is no image stablizer so the futher you zoom the steadier the camera has to be.On the plus side with it being an EF lens you can buy an inexpensive teleconverter and double your zoom. All in all a good lens for being part of a package....I use it more than the normal lens that my camera came with, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy an additional lens for their camera....Got this in a Black Friday Bundle.
Canon EF 75–300mm f/4–5.6 III Telephoto Zoom Lens: An ideal lens for photography enthusiasts who want to take their creativity to the next level, this telephoto zoom lens provides a long focal reach for taking close-ups shots from a distance. Take action shots while sitting on the sidelines at games and events, photograph wildlife without getting too close and capture incredible details on your next vacation.
Good one...It's ok....This, like all Canon lenses, is a high quality lens and with the focal lengths beginning at 55mm - this can easily be your "only" lens - replacing the typical 50mm with the added benefit of zooming smoothly to 250mm to get you right in the action....I prefer this lens compared to the 70-300 because this lens has stabilization built in and because its a telephoto, you don't have to get really close to the subject and still get AMAZING quality.
Snap sharp, vibrant photos at a distance with this Canon EF-S 8546B002 telephoto lens, which features a 55-250mm focal length for flexible zooming and optical image stabilization to reduce the effects of camera shake.
good lens....Love it....I was able to take some decent night sky shots using this lens, and was lucky enough to have it for some very clear and pretty Aurora Borealis shots....I found it to be fun to use, and that's probably the most important thing for me since I have more fun taking pictures than I do working with or even viewing them.
With an STM (stepping motor) and focus mechanism, this Canon EF-S 9519B002 zoom lens allows you to record ultrasharp videos or capture crisp photos using your compatible Canon camera. The UD lens element helps you take highly realistic images.
Great Lens...Good deal...This lens is very good to be so cheap, and unlike the east does not feel that it is made with low quality materialsThis lens is very good to be so cheap, and unlike others this does not feel that it is made with low quality materials...It allowed me to get the background of photos without having to move so far back like my 50 mm lens and it lightened up my photos without me needing to know how to use pro level features
Capture stunning images of wide perspectives with this Canon 9522B002 EF-S wide-angle lens that features an aspheric lens element for high image quality from the center to the edges. The circular, 7-blade aperture delivers soft backgrounds.
Nice lens...Great Lens....While away on a shoot one of the glass components came loose on the inside within a week of purchase-I hadn't dropped or abused the lens at all considering how fragile and valuable they are....The f/4L IS is a great lens, but I found myself buying the f/2.8L IS II less than 2 years later for the following reasons: (1) Knowing the f/2.8 was ever so slightly better than the f/4L IS with regard to optics.
Canon EF 70–200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens This telephoto zoom lens is an essential tool for professional photographers and skilled amateurs. The variable focal length makes it useful for photographing a broad range of subjects, and the 2.8 maximum aperture functions well in low-light situations. Snap candid portraits, stop the action at sporting events or compose wedding photos with exceptional blurred backgrounds.
Very good...Great lens...The image is crisp, and it may be good to photograph objects rather than portraits, as you can only fit the head unless you leave more space between you and the subject....It doesn't really sharpen up fully until f/2.8, but we don't buy this lens to shoot it at f/2.8 -- we buy it so we can shoot in really low light or to get maximum bokeh at f/1.4.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light without needing a flash. It's excellent for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.
Best Lens...Good lens...The lens has a nice feel to it, it's not too heavy, the zoom ring is slightly firm but smooth, and the Vibration Reduction works well....Not as fine as a prime lens, of course, but for an all-purpose still or, especially, video lens, it's a good choice, albeit slightly pricey.
Cover every shot with this all-in-one Nikon 18-140mm camera lens that lets you zoom from wide-angle to telephoto without missing a beat. Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass creates amazing contrast, and the zoom enables crisp images as close as 1.48 feet away. This Nikon 18-140mm camera lens features a Silent Wave Motor (SWM) for super quiet clicks.
Love it!...great lense...I've been saving my money to get this lens to go with my 70-200,this lens completes my kit, photos come out so crisp nice bokeh nice color to,happy....i use this lens everyday and it's one of the best macro lens on the market It also a possible to use an optional tripod mount which can be attached to the rear of the lens.
Canon EF 24–70mm f/2.8L II USM Standard Zoom Lens: Built to handle the demands of professional use, this lens is durable as well as dust- and water-resistant. Fluorine coatings on the front and rear surfaces keep smudges and fingerprints to a minimum.
Sharp lens....Great len...There's another benefit as well; at 85mm, and especially on a crop body like the 40D or 50D, this lens allows you to get some distance from your subject which tends to make them more comfortable, while giving you the modest compression that is the hallmark of any telephoto lens....I've a fair collection of primes to compare it to, some of which are L glass, and I've got some great L zooms as well; yet for portraits, I inevitably turn to this specific lens as it outperforms everything else I own in the successful shooting methodologies I find myself returning to over and over.
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens: Get sharp, clear photos with this Canon medium telephoto lens that delivers vibrant color and clarity with fast, quiet focusing. The 85mm focal length draws attention to your subject and transforms the background into a soft blur for professional-quality portraits and impeccably detailed close-up shots.
Great lens....Sharp lens...I've red that the 50mm 1.8 isn't as sharp as the 40mm until lower (higher?) apertures and I rarely take pictures in low light situations that would be ruined by a flash, so I've never even bothered to compare this lens to the 50....It does very well indoors, hardly weighs anything at all, and it doesn't knock stuff off the table every time I turn around when I'm neck strappin' it....Bought this before black friday of 2013.
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Standard Lens: This standard Canon lens offers high-quality image capturing in a small, lightweight lens body, making it a great companion in crowds and public spaces. Its versatile features and easy portability make it especially suited for basic travel, portraits and memento shots.
NICE LENS...sharp prime...That being said, for anyone serious about photography as a profession or a hobby, a lens of this length is a must have, and there aren't too many better than this one....I'm glad this lens doesn't have VR as the VR system would add weight and with a wide 1.8 aperture I don't see that it would be particularly useful in this application.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G Medium Telephoto Lens: Transform every portrait into a work of art with a lens that delivers exceptional image quality and rich color saturation even at wide open apertures. Whether you're capturing headshots, wedding photos or nature images, this medium telephoto lens offers all you need for professional results in almost any lighting conditions.
Thank you....Thank you!...This kit wont give you the latest and greatest lenses but for someone who is new to photography, this is a good stepping stone from basic camera lense to an upgrade....In my city, we have several really large summer festivals; this lens is perfect for taking portrait shots of festival visitors and friends....The bundle on Black Friday was a steal!
