Classic Burt
This the ORIGINAL and still the best. I've owned the DVD for a long time. I was always waiting for the Blu-Ray to be released. It doesn't disappoint. The picture is great. I just wish they had remastered in into surround sound.

Maybe Burt Reynolds's best film?
As an example of Burt Reynolds's signature star power, you can't do that much better than The Longest Yard. It's a thrilling reminder of what we love about him: the easy swagger, the rough-and-tumble physicality, and the surprising quirkiness. And the movie around him is even better! Not only is it just a top-notch sports picture, but it illustrates director Robert Aldrich's favorite theme: the necessary struggle of the community against a corrupt authority. Just a singular '70s movie.

Blast to the past
Great old movie. Much better than the remake. Great cast and Reynolds’s in his prime. The 4K transfer is great as can be expected.
