Great Movie for Suspense and Action that wil Thril
Intense music that immerses you and places you in the center of the action or creeps up on you leaving you in a state of suspense. The music is followed up by convincingly good acting and of course the action scenes are intense and worth the money!
Enjoyed this movie a lot. In my opinion was much better then the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider.
I would recommend this to a friend
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This Movie is better than the Opd Tomb Raiders Alicia VIKANDER is the Perfect Lara Croft and this Movie is so Crisp and Sharp And the Sound Sounds Dynamic and Crystal Clear in the Dolby Atmos Soundtrack. :)
Really good writing, directing, ACTING. Subtle cues, that have to be due to the actors themselves. I get it, but the story sounds familiar, although I don't know why. The main character, (actor) did amazing stunts,(doubles) yet the writer/ director/ actor had enough sense to make the character grunt, cruy out, whine, during each sequences showed amazing strength AND vulnerability which, for me at least, made the character seem more realistic. Well written that how an island in such a populated area, could remain uninhabited. The biology was on point, )don't want to spoil it for you), physics-good, so I would say buy it, buuuuut skip the, (past pain issues) fans already get it....
I enjoyed this movie in the theaters and decided to add it to my collection. While some are okay, I think most video game adaptations are pretty bad. The previously released Tomb Raider movies were for most guilty pleasures and while not great they were still entertaining. They centered around an already established Lara Croft who was known as a tomb raider. This 2018 release is more about the game reboot and Lara's origins as the Tomb Raider. I thought the adaptation, although with an unexpected surprise, was fairly close to the game and executed well.
I thought the 4K transfer was well done and the audio was better than average. I wish I had a larger TV to fully enjoy my 4K movies but I'll make do with what I have. :-)
No longer is Lara reduced to 16 bit block gazungaz and some daisy dukes. Much like the recent games, this new direction for Tomb Raider is much darker than the original concept. The visuals and action are top notch. Story is straight out of a video game but that’s to be expected but if you can look past the improbability of the story, you should be pretty pleased with the overall movie.
