Blu-ray review of Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead
|Posted .The film is a ton of fun and provides more than enough head exploding action to satisfy most zombie fans. Visually arresting though probably a bit overstuffed stylistically, Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead boasts excellent audio and video merits and a good supplementary package.

Mad Max meets Sean of The Dead!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendFor those of you who enjoy a good zombie flick with a bit of subtle humor thrown in, you will undoubtedly like this film. The only thing I can really compare it to is Sean of the Dead, as the action is full on action movie stuff, yet its infused with an underlying sense of humor. There's not a whole lot else out there that fits into that category. It takes place in Aussie Land and pays homage to Mad Max in various ways. It's not the Walking Dead, so don't look for deep character driven drama here, but if you are looking for a great popcorn zombie flick whose main purpose is to entertain, then you can't go wrong here. I watch just about every new "Zombie Apocalypse" type film that comes out, and I have to say this one sticks out of the oversaturated pack by being just a little bit different...but in a refreshing way. highly recommended for fans of the genre.

A Decent Zombie Movie Worth Watching!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendIt's not Dawn of the Dead but it is a great little title. I didn't think much about it at first but it is definitely a little gem of a movie. Certain aspects of it feel a bit cliche but there are more interesting, original moments that bring this Australian horror movie to the forefront. I would include more in this review but I'm not into spoiling things. All I can say is...pick it up. It's worth it.

Entertaining movie.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI bought this movie on a whim since it was so cheap and had decent reviews and I can't say that I'm disappointed. You can tell the movie is more of a 'b' movie, but it is leagues better than most of the straight to DVD and scifi channel originals garbage. The movie definitely has a pretty unique story and lots of action and gore. The Mad Max meets Dawn of the Dead tagline does not lie.

An excellent offering in the zombie movie genre!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAwesome movie! Yes another zombie genre movie, seems as this following is still going strong! This one is a bit outside the box of the typical movie and it is not quite what you might expect. It has lots of gore, blood, and guts for those that love this kind of thing. It also however has humor which is placed in very inappropriate places, however, assuming that it is the end of the world for these people nothing is out of place or inappropriate in this case. Also there are bits in the movie that are sad as well and remain human without a world of zombies. There is a female heroine in this one and this makes it for one quite interesting plot turn. A type of necromancer or magician, she is, created by an experiment gone wrong or in this case right. So does this have merit and have a happy ending you ask? Yes it is worth seeing due to it being different. No, no happy endings where zombies and the apocalypse are concerned, only something that could be said as surviving middle ground, however watch the movie and make your own conclusions. :)

High-Octane Frenetic Action, Great Blu-Ray Disc
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendMad Max meets Dawn of the Dead (or perhaps more appropriately, Shaun of the Dead). The movie is very visually high-energy and stylish, which might turn off some viewers who don't like too many color filtered shots, quick cuts and whip pans in their movies, but if you like this kind of thing, it's a great ride. Great blu-ray disc to go along with the movie, as well.

Good Zombie Movie with a Different Twist
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis was a good zombie movie with a decent twist on the zombie outbreak. The main characters were likeable and did a decent job of acting. There is plenty of gore and action, and the story is okay (not the best I have seen, but not the worst). I would recommend this movie if you can pick it up for a discounted price.
