If installed correctly, the hood does its job, and then some. You can literally burn fish on high and not smell it standing next to it. Now, for the install comments... You will need an electrician to run a thick line, both for the hood, and for the motor outside. There is a minimum or 10 inch header clearance needed to run ductwork. Also, you will need rigid 10 inch ducts. In mu case, rafters ran across the kitchen in the right direction. Lucky. The double motor in a large stainless steel box will be hanging outside of your house. So, plan for an inconspicuous location. It is a bit of an eye sore. Finally, it could benefit from wi-fi. Minor issue, though.

Blower came packaged very well, so no damage to the item. This is a remote 1000 CFM device. An In-line 1000 CFM is also available so be careful that you've ordered the type of blower you want because they vent the air differently.

Even though the installation is in the quote, service tech said that exterior hood installation is not covered.

Don't do it! We bought it and it broke within a year. No one wants to maintain it b/c it is on the roof. Certified vendors want you to detach it off the roof, bring it down they'll fix it then you put it back on. For the amount this crap costs, you would think it would last 10+ years.
