If your mobile electronics product fails for an issue that we cover but your manufacturer doesn't, we'll replace your product (if one is available) or reimburse you.

  • If your product isn't working, don't worry: To get help, just bring your car security and convenience product into a Best Buy store. For any covered issue, we'll repair your product, get you a replacement (if the product is available), or issue you a store credit or gift card up to the original purchase price, including taxes.
  • No out-of-pocket costs for parts or labor: We take care of 100% of the costs of parts and labor for covered repairs and failures, with no hidden fees.
  • If there's a hardware failure, we'll repair or replace your product: This could be a problem with an internal part, how the car security and convenience product was manufactured or normal wear and tear. It could also be caused by dust, internal heat or humidity. Accidental damage is not included.
  • If your car security and convenience product won't turn on because of a power surge, count on us to make it right: You're covered if there's a power surge or fluctuation that damages your product. This includes a surge caused by a lightning strike.
  • You can transfer your Geek Squad Protection: When you sell or give someone your covered product, Geek Squad Protection is still in effect, with no additional charges or restrictions. Call 1-800-433-5778 (8 a.m.–9 p.m. CT) to transfer.
  • When something goes wrong, we're always here to help: Visit your local Best Buy store to start a claim or call us at 1-800-433-5778 (8 a.m.–9 p.m. CT) to ask questions about your plan.
