A great movie to watch on a day of terrible weather.

Eddie Murphy's first movie debut. It is a classic with good acting cast. It is great that it has been put on blu-ray. I recommend it if you like Eddie Murphy's movies before he started making kid friendly movies (Nutty Professor, Dr Dolittle, etc...).

This is really the movie that set the standard for buddy cop films. Nolte is terrific as a grizzled, no-nonsense cop and Murphy lights up the screen in the movie that made him a star. Great adult action with lots of good humor interlaced in a standout 80s action film many other have tried, and in a lot of cases failed, to live up to. This blu ray looked great and the documentary interview with the director gave a lot of insight into the movie. Well worth your time and a big improvement from the no frills first blu ray.

What can I say about 48 hours that hasn't already been written? Great story and great performances from the leads as well as the supporting cast. 1980's crime noir at it's best. The music and atmosphere were great in setting the mood of the whole film. Definitely a spot in my movie hall of fame. Blu Ray is great and the picture really pops. 5 stars!

Eddie murphy burst on to the scene in this classic film that created an entire genre. Directed by Walter Hill, it's gritty by today's standards. This presentation exceeds the original Blu-ray by miles.

Eddie Murphy's debut movie is awesome! This action comedy pairs Murphy with Nick Nolte as they track some cop killers who also have history with Murphy's character. Some brutal gun fights but lots of funny parts from the 2 leads.

Not quite Axel Foley caliber in the comedy department, but 48 Hours is an excellent vehicle for Murphy and Nolte as they odd couple their way around L.A. to solve the case. More grit and social commentary lets this stand alone from Murphy's Beverly Hills Cop movies.

This blu ray transfer makes 48 hours looks every bit as good as I remember when I first saw it in the 80's. Still funny after all these years.

I was glad to see that 48 Hours got an official blu-ray release, but what about Another 48 Hours? This movie is pure Eddie Murphy goodness, alongside Coming To America & the Beverly Hills Cop trilogy.
