An excellent product for a proper starter 5.1 surround sound at a reasonable price. They look good and are easy to set up. Most importantly there was plenty of cable for the rear/side speakers. Remember that this product needs you to have an amplifier in order for them to work, but you won’t regret this setup as it far exceeds most other options at this price range (even with the amp price).

I’ve loved Bose for many years, but couldn’t afford them. I recently bought the accoustimass 10, and I absolutely love it! I have the front three speakers at ear level, and I mounted the rear speakers on the wall, right behind my chair! I am so glad I finally paid the money for this system!!

I’ve owned Bose speakers for as long as I can remember, including a previous version of the Acoustimass series (which I still have), and they’ve never disappointed. This new system fills the room with sound. Crisp at the high-end and wonderfully deep bass. And I love the way they look. I bought the matching Bose stands (highly recommended) which I believe adds to the simple elegance of these speakers. Quite honestly I didn’t do a great deal of comparison shopping because I’m such a Bose fan but I’d challenge anyone to find a better speaker system for the money.

Wasn’t to pleased with install by Greek squad. But the sound is awesome.

Definitely worth the money and worth all the hype about them! Great product and the sound is truly crystal clear and amazing. The bass makes the house shake!

So I looked at speakers for weeks. Klipsch, Sony, MartinLogan, etc. I came to the conclusion that these might be just too big for my room. So I decided to create my own system. I purchased a Yamaha v685, Bose Acoustimass 10 series V and a KEF 12" sub. (Side Note: I'm running AQ Chocolates for HDMI and AQ Irish Red to my KEF sub. Once the receiver warms up the system is incredible!! Here's how I have it set up. Per Bose I have my LPF on the highest setting and the speakers set to large on three receiver. I then have the KEF switch set to "corner" and the other knob for LPF set to 80hz. I didn't want the full range that the bose is getting. I want it to only kick in for those deep moments. I'm running both subs obviously. I've put this up against my friends Klipsch and I'm getting tighter base with immense clarify from the bose. These are an excellent part of a system. If you want to really get the right experience....get good cables, get a great receiver and get a 12" high quality sub to bring the house down in the moments you need too.

Good for a small room. I have a small room (10x10) i converted into a home theater . I did not want something that would keep everyone up late at night with a pounding subwoofer. the Sub still puts out good bass . This system is a lot of fun . Do not recommend for a large room . A little overpriced .

I had my house pre-wired for surround sound which had already cost a nice little amount and when I got these speakers home I learned from the guy installing them I needed a special converter to make these fit the wires that had been preinstalled. So I ordered those and had the guy come back out to learn that the mounts best buy had suggested for me didn't work with these speakers, so had to run out and buy new ones. Cost me extra because I kept having to have the guy come back out. But when all was said and done and we got the speakers working, I was very pleased with the quality. Just make sure you have the hardware you need to go along with them!

I purchased the bose acoustimass 10 series V with high expectations that the system will perform good, and it did better than good! I paired it with a Denon 4K 1295w 7.2 channel amp. And it rocks the house after fine tuning the system. A few people have had bad reviews on it saying it lacked power, but it really comes down to what receiver you use for this system to get the best performance out of these speakers . And let me tell you,I'm completely satisfied with my purchase.

Fairly easy install once I purchased the mounting hardware online. Too bad they didn't have the hardware available at the store. Got the system up and love the quality of surround sound in my room. High quality and very happy camper.

These speakers replaced the original Bose Accoustimas speakers that did not have a powered subwoofer. My new receiver needed a powered subwoofer. The sound is fantastic. It can rattle the windows. My wife even comments on the sound which is unusual.

Paired these speakers with my Sony 5.1 receiver for a major improvement in sound quality. Hook up was easy with the cable package from Bose. The sub-woofer is somewhat large, but the power and dynamic range of the system allowed me to tune the system to my room and sound preferences. The theater quality base is definitely there, and the satellite speakers are able to deliver clear voice and sound effects from high to low. Pricey, but worth the investment to extend the life of my high end, but aging receiver.

I am 2 weeks into enjoying my new Bose AM10 V and Yamaha RX-V685 7.2 ch receiver. I'm very pleased with the performance so far. Better in some ways than my previous Bose Lifestyle 535. Have not listed to too much music yet but with 4K streaming movies its very good! Only complaint is how the Bose wall bracket seriously bends and crimps the Bose speaker wire when its connected. I'm now looking for any fine tuning suggestions from any Best Buy/Bose moderators or members of the community. Thanks! Here is where I stand with my listing area and speaker locations: 1. Listening area is in the basement with these dimensions: 18 ft. X 18 ft. and a 9 ft. high ceiling. Carpet floor and leather entertainment style seating. 2. Front and center speakers are mounted on the wall to the left, right, and top of TV with Bose brackets. Rear surround speakers are mounted from ceiling with Bose bracket. 3. Bose AM is positioned on the front wall (TV wall) but with the opening towards the right hand wall corner. For added bass response. Here is what my settings are so far on the Bose AM: 1. LFE control is turned to max. 2. Bass control is tuned to 50% (middle) 3. LFE wire is connected to receiver "sub 1" port. Here is how my receiver is set up: 1. Front L & R, center, and rear L & R are all set to 80hz crossover and speaker size to "small". 2. Sub is set to "on" & "normal phase" 3. Speaker distance from listening position is 13 ft. for Front L, R, and center. 10 ft. for rear L & R. 15 ft. for the AM (sub). 4. Front L & R are set at +2db, center is at +3db, rear L & R are at +10db (needed to get good surround sound), and AM (sub) is at +6db. 5. Equalizer is off, treble is at +4db, bass is at +3db, and "extra bass" is off. 6. Receiver is running on Dolby digital surround mode. 7. Receiver Ohms setting is at 8. Sorry for all of the excessive details here, just wanted to be complete in my explanation.

Having had an older home theater system already in place I was expecting a significant difference. It didn't meet my expectations for a Bose product. You have to use Bose brackets, stands, and mounts to hang them. The biggest issue we came across was the wiring. If you have pre wiring in your home you can't use this system unless you patch in the wiring that comes with it. Doing so has a negative effect on sound. No hard wire installation. On a positive, the Best Buy salesman was patient and went the extra mile for my sale. The geek squad showed the same professionalism during an install. Very knowledgeable.

Needed to upgrade my older surround sound system. Have always found Bose to be a superior product (own Bluetooth headphones, as well as Bluetooth speakers). Sound from this system was clear, crisp and deep (sub-woofer). The only drawback that found was that I had to re-wire since the system came with proprietary wiring.

Easy plug and play setup out of the box. Don't let the negative reviews of Bose products discourage your purchase. If the system sound good to you that's all that matters. Higher price does not necessarily = better sound. Recommend getting the Bose stands which places the four satellite speakers at ear level when seated.

This is a great system, even with our cheaper receiver it works great! The only issue I have with this is you have to buy special mounting brackets to wall mount the speakers, and Best Buy does not sell them.

I had an older Lifestyle v20 system that worked well and sounds great for many years, but didn't support the latest technologies like 4K and 3d video, so I purchased a separate amp these Acoustimass speakers to replace it. The acoustimass 10 sub is much bigger and better sounding than the one that came with the lifestyle system. It's a very noticeable difference and can really shake the floor!

I have a small living room and it fills the room nicely! I would recommend putting front speakers up higher then center to create more separation. Excellent smooth base and clear highs.

You know what you're getting when buying anything from Bose! This system not only looks good but sounds amazing...if you're in the market for surround sound I highly recommend.
