Cons: To use the mapping software, I had to set the text size to 100%. Windows 11 had it set to 150%, and this puts the window off the bottom of the screen. There are no scroll bars. No battery indicator. I have to remember to plug it in every few days. I'm not sure how long it will go between charges. Pros: The mapping software works well, and you can map every button. I have swapped the X/Y and A/B pairs because that's what I am used to for my old DS4 controller in Steam. You can set up to four profiles, each with a different mapping. It supports macros but I am not using any. User-replaceable battery. Claims to be able to use a pair of AAs but I haven't tried. Nicely placed back buttons. I have them mapped to the joystick press buttons (I find pressing down on the sticks to be a distraction). Haptics work very well, just as well as the DS4. Gyros also work very well. Very accurate. The price can't be beat. I wasn't expecting such a good controller for what they ask. Other: I have the selection switch in "S" mode, which is not what they recommend for Windows, but it seems to work best for me. I'm using this with an ASUS BT 5.0 USB device. Never tried wired mode.

Exactly what I wanted. Retro style, super comfortable, and works perfectly. Great build quality—way better than I expected.

Such a cool controller. Being able to set it to different types of controller is so useful for multi purpose and emulation.

It feels amazing to use I’ve had zero issues connecting it to my PC and phone i havent tried to connect it to my switch just yet but I imagine it would be seamless and easy, Ive used the SN30 Pro which is the same form factor minus the handles and even that felt great in my hands so I couldn’t resist buying the standard controller form.

I recently picked up the 8BitDo Pro 2 controller from Best Buy, and I’ve been seriously impressed with it so far. The build quality feels solid right out of the box, and the Hall Effect joysticks are a game changer super smooth with no drift issues. It connects easily across multiple devices (I’ve used it on Switch and PC without any problems), and switching between modes is quick and convenient. One of my favorite features is the customization through the Ultimate Software. Being able to map buttons and set up macros makes it perfect for both casual gaming and more competitive setups. The back buttons are a nice bonus and feel natural to use once you get used to them. Battery life has also been great, and the overall comfort makes it easy to use for long gaming sessions without any fatigue. Overall, this controller delivers premium performance at a solid price. Definitely worth it if you’re looking for something versatile and reliable.

This video game controller is excellent. It feels very comfortable in my hands, even during long gaming sessions. The buttons are responsive and smooth, which makes gameplay more precise and enjoyable. The design is modern and stylish, and the grip helps prevent slipping. The battery life is also impressive, lasting for many hours without needing to recharge. Overall, this controller offers great quality and performance, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves gaming.

This remote is awesome for PC gaming and at a very fair price. Very smooth feel, no stick lagging during gameplay and overall perfect design for hours of comfort. Battery life is great too. Highly recommended for PC gamers as well as retro consoles and the Switch.

Before i write a long review ill just say first if you play CLAW and want PlayStation style controller with hall effect sticks for BR games just buy this one for now. I tried the new Wolverine v3 tournament edition and returned it after two days. If you dont play claw id say that controller is the best to get period. But since i play double claw the PlayStation style controller is best for how i play. Until playstation goes back to hall effect joysticks this will be my main controller or untill i learn to solder hall effect sticks to a PS controller. The one thing i dont like about this controller are the thumbstick design. They are to wide and just feel weird. I recommend either switching the thumbsticks with dome sticks and if you do make sure you drill the inside of the thumbstick so you can lower the stick down a bit. Under the top plate of the controller there is a circuit board which if that wasnt there then you wouldnt have to mode the thumbstick but since its there you will have to drill out a little to lower it a bit. I hade some laying around and did this and the controller is now perfect. It only has two back buttons but it you play double claw it doesnt matter. I do sorta wish it had trigger stops but thats just me being picky.

Absolutely love the versatility of this game pad! You can use it wired, connected via Bluetooth using the rechargeable battery pack or AA batteries. Can connect to various devices like android, switch or PC. The Hall Effect joysticks ensure no stick drift. The game pad feels a bit light at the grips but is comfortable to use. The four front face buttons are somewhat noisy. The rumble is alright, not the best. Overall, good game pad with plenty of versatility.

For why it is (especially for the price point… like seriously only 15 bucks) it’s pretty good I would’ve given a full five stars but it doesn’t fit my preference, NOT At all on the manufacturers or anything like that, this is a great product. I got it because I wanted to play Minecraft on my phone during downtime at work which it works great for it but it defaults to Nintendo switch button mapping and I’m accustomed to your typical Xbox/PS button mappings, besides that yeah it’s great and I think it’s pretty cool that it’s raspberry pi compatible, I wonder what cool things people are using these controllers for just think of the potential

I switched over from the Logitech F710 to the 8BitDo Pro2, and there are a few things I like about it more. * Tighter D-pad - The Logitech has more of a "rocker"-style D-pad, which doesn't have the same precision feel as the 8BitDo. The 8BitDo feels a lot more like the old school NES gamepad. * Better grips - For me, the 8BitDo grips are smoother and less harsh compared to the Logitech. The Logitech is just a chunkier controller all around. * Multi-system support - The 8BitDo can be used on the PC, Switch, and Android with the flip of a switch. * Hall effect sticks - Hopefully these hall effect sticks will prevent drift over the lifetime of this controller. I have another 8BitDo Pro2 without hall effect sticks, and it doesn't have any problems with drift after about a year. * Optional batteries - You can optionally run on regular batteries instead of the rechargeable one. This means you can still use it even if the rechargeable battery dies. * Wired or wireless - Sometimes you just want a wired connection for reduced latency.

Was looking for a controller for PC that had hall effect sticks and gyro capabilities. This had both that work well. I love that you can switch between switch and Xbox controller mode with the switch on the back. I prefer the PlayStation controller format compared to Xbox so this controller feels naturally comfortable to me. Would buy again.

I purchased this remote so I can get a feel for it and it exceeded my expectations! The buttons feel smooth the joysticks are firm and move like butter ! The battery life is exceptional I purchased it on 12/26/25 it came about a week later (due to winter storm) and I charged it once ! As of writing this review on 2/6/26 I haven’t charged it and it’s still about over 50% battery and that’s with significant play time on my switch . Great purchase will definitely be buying another one for my wife!

Controller works really well. I have only used on Windows 11 and Nintendo Switch 2, but works well on both and easy to switch between them. You need to plug into a PC to update the firmware/configure the back buttons, which is the only annoying part.
