This (the 1st PS5 game I played on my finally gotten PS5) is MY 2022 Game of the Year (that isn't a JRPG, anyways). If I'd have played this before the awards, I'd have chosen this for Best Voice Acting, & Best Story. But I didn't play this before I voted... Anywise, the 1st game I played on my PS5 is A Plague Tale: Innocence, then I went right into this sequel. This game gets my top vote for many things --- story, voice acting, graphics, emotion, world design, & being well researched into the times of the French Inquisition. The ending touched me. Deeply. Wow! I highly recommend.

Honestly Idk how to feel about this one but im mostly disappointed. First of all it doesn’t have 60 FPS unlike the first one on PS5 which is already a big disappointment. Now for the story, the beginning of the game like the first 5 chapters are soo slow it felt like a drag. After that tho, you see the main purpose of this sequel then you start to get invested again in the story of Hugo and Amicia but man those first couple of hours are dangerous especially for impatient players. The new characters are alright nothing too special. The soundtrack is also lackluster especially after recently playing “Innocence”. Overall i give it a 7/10 when the first game was easily a 9/10. This is my opinion tho which is subjective you have to play it for yourself.

Solid follow-up to the original. Controls and mechanics feel familiar. There are frame rate issues through out.

I like this game style. It is easy to learn how to play and what to do is just following the story. I played the previous game 3 years ago. This one has a great improvement on the graphics. It is enjoyable to walk around in the market. Can't wait to finish the story.

A Plague Tale Requiem definitely passes the vibe check. If you’re a fan of the first game, Requiem is a no-brainer and a perfect follow-up. Pros: Excellent graphics, brilliant story, excellent character development, sensational voice acting, and great improvements gameplay-wise compared to the first. Cons: Some still unanswered questions about the story/plot, repetitive gameplay sequences (do we really need to fight 30 enemies in a row on almost 5 different occasions?) - but that’s really it. Honestly, this has been one of the greatest gaming experiences to date. Amicia is a certified baddie and I feel like her character can be elevated to Aloy or Kratos levels of awesome in a third game. Fingers crossed! You owe it to yourself to play the game, especially if it’s discounted.

Requiem is amazing!! The story is awesome so far (3 chapters in), it’s worth playing regardless of frame drops or anything else. Luckily this game is more of a stealth game where it doesn’t really matter. The visuals of the game are on par with HFW. It’s super beautiful and the character models are just as awesome !

A Plague Tale: Requiem was such a great game. Fell in love with the first game and I had to continue the story. I would definitely recommend this game especially if you played and loved the first one.

Brilliant game. Beautiful graphics, emotional gripping story with characters that you care about. I'm over halfway through and its been a thrill ride and a worthy sequel to the first game in the series. fans will love it and have to play it.

I'd never heard of this game until I began searching for something that was as engrossing as The Last of Us. I found this and was happy to discover a great story with interesting and unique gameplay. If you like historical fiction and a taught narrative that drives gameplay, this is definitely worth checking out!

Gorgeous game, great follow up to the first game, love the additional mechanics and tweaks to the leveling up system, story rips your heart out.

A solid follow up to A Plague Tale: Innocence, Requiem continues the story of Amicia and Hugo. Graphics on the PS5 were good, with only the occasional frame rate drop. Gameplay is solid, if not slightly surprising how difficult the final sequence was, even on the easiest narrative difficulty. Lots of hidden areas and collectibles to find make this an enjoyable game with good replay value.
