Good movie plot something I haven’t seen before and the actors are really good.

Lionsgate has done a great job with this release of A Simple Favor on 4K Blu-ray. The video quality looks great, and even a little better with Dolby Vision if your TV or player supports it, bringing a nice clean image with realistic colors and detail, very identical to the theatrical presentation. The audio is a high quality Dolby TrueHD soundtrack that fits perfectly for a movie like this, which is carried by mostly dialogue. There's a bit of surround sound activity as well, so if you have a good surround sound system, this will sound great. Packaging includes a digital code for those looking to stream while away from home, along with a Blu-ray disc that includes basically the same movie and special features as the 4K UHD disc. I think they should have included way more special featurettes on the Blu-ray disc(s), but Lionsgate did a good job regardless. If you're a fan of Anna Kendrick and/or Blake Lively in general, you should enjoy this film and add it to your movie collection.

A Simple Favor is a compelling mystery that is both entertaining and suspenseful. The strong performances, twisty plot, and quirky humor make it a film that will keep you on the edge of your seat. While it may not be perfect, it's a fun and engaging ride that is worth watching.

As an audio and videophile, I plan to purchase a lot more 4K Blu-rays now that Netflix has ended service, and have already begun doing so. The quality is simply better, and the market is there. Best Buy will miss out on this business.

So the trailers I feel didn't do this movie justice. The story actually is very well done. Its one of the better modern mystery movies and is a fun little romp through a mystery. I would suggest picking this up if you haven't already and watch it. Its fun, entertaining, and full of great acting on everyone's parts.

I was honestly surprised by this one. I thought Paul Fieg could only do mildly funny comedy, but this movie, while having funny moments, was a good combination of drama and thriller with a nice twist or two. A very similar movie to Gone Girl, but I wasn't disappointed when this one ended. Pretty good film.

I loved this movie, I dont normally do reviews but it was a great movie that had that dark, suspense of a thriller mystery but then super funny because of Anna Kendrick. Blake lively was amazing mysterious and funny. I feel like Anna Kendrick and Blake lively really played off each other well

On the surface this film looks as if it is going one way. Then it takes a right turn. Only to take a drastic left turn. This film will have you scratching your head the longer you stick with it. Good acting all around from the entire cast. Great direction. Pay attention to the details.

Any movie with Anna Kendrick is worth watching. Without leaking spoilers, the movie was about a friend who goes missing and it isn't what you may think. It was scripted very well and full of surprises. It was worth my money!

A Simple Favor is a good movie made by a great director in Paul Feig. It has fun twists and the cast led by Kendrick and Lively are excellent. It may be best as a one-time movie as a rental rather than a buy, but definitely worth checking out.

This move was one that I heard good things about and when I sat down to watch it I was extremely surprise. This movie presents a great mystery and a fun ride with great leads, pick this one up if you find a few extra dollars in your pocket.

This is a very enjoyable film. Loved it when I saw it at the theatres and pleased to own a copy, Showed to friends that all really enjoyed the movie. There are several twists which really keeps you guessing how it will progress.

Interesting movie, in a good way. A few twists and turns, and it's good bubble gum fun. Blake Lively is an awesome bad girl. Loved the Aviator gin product placement. Her hubby owns the company, and I saw it 4 times in the movie. Ha!

This was a surprise joy to watch! A sexy mystery wrapped in comedy and suspense. Both Kendrick and Lively are perfectly cast and convince as their characters. Though the ending goes off the rails a bit, overall? This is a great film!

This movie has a twist and a great mystery story that is missing in so many movies today. I really enjoyed it. The 4k transfer is beautiful on this one. It does a great job at showing off the wonderful forested outdoor scenes.

A Simple Favor is a fun ride but not a tense suspense thriller. It twists and turns on a dime and you'll have a great time ...and then you'll never give it a second thought. For me it was more of a rental than an invested keeper.

This is how movies used to be made. No formula, just a great story and even better acting. It was one of those movies with lots of great clothes and food and drink... twists and turns... and a satisfying end. Check it out!

Sharp writing and excellent direction move some stories forward and make them compelling to watch. This is a well done thriller put together by smart people who know how to create a mood and keep you thinking.

I was happy to get this DVD so soon after its release in the cinema. I don't always have time to physically go the movies, so finding the DVD allows me to keep up and catch up with the latest releases.

I didn't know anything about this film going in and was pleasantly surprised with it. The cast was great and there were enough twists to keep me guessing exactly how it was going to end. Fun watch.
