works so good, and looks amazing, very good laptop for work

This laptop is an incredible value, but a steal at the Black Friday price (best Black Friday laptop deal IMO). Great entry/mid level laptop with integrated AI-capability for students or casual users with plentiful CPU power, long battery life and bright crisp screen. -New Core Ultra 5 processor has performance on par with Core i5 processors with much higher energy efficiency. It only needs a 45 Watt USB-C Charger -Battery life is solid. Acer says 10.5 hours but I've been getting 12-13 hours -Screen is 1900x1200 which gives you much more usable viewing area compared to standard HD 1920x1080. 400 nit brightness is much higher than average laptops in this price range -Great webcam built-in. 2k resolution, background blur and portrait blur functions and privacy shutter which covers the lens. -Great keyboard for a laptop. Minimal flex and good feel/feedback. Backlit keys which is almost found in this price range (white color only and turns off after inactivity) -2x Thunderbolt 4 ports (one port used for power, so a USB-C hub is recommended) -Includes a laptop sleeve that matches the look of the Aspire Vero -"Greenest" laptop you can buy. Touchpad made from 100% recycled ocean bound plastic, chassis is 60% post consumer recycling, and 100% recyclable packaging. Cons -8GB RAM is not upgradable as it is a soldered to the board and lacks a 2nd RAM slot. I find 8GB to be fine for most things, but anyone needing to work on larger Excel files, photo/video editing, light gaming, etc. should have 16GB minimum. -The R and E keys are printed flipped 180 degrees on the keyboard, a quirky design style found on all Vero models.

Picked this laptop up for school, works great, fast ebough to not get bogged down. Not top of the line but works well for what i need it for.

Overall the computer is very good. Fast speed, nice screen. Did not like how the recycle plastic look. The plastic looks dirty. When I open it, I thought the plastic was dirty, so I try to clean it, did not realized that was how the plastic look.

It's good for browsing, online classes and day to day activities.

Computer works good some bloatware was slowing the machine down on startup I removed it and now it works great. Bought it on deal of the day it was a good deal.

for the money it was a good buy. fast, good battery life and a lot of storage for the every day person

I liked the sale price, 2024 model, brighter screen than most laptops, lighted keyboard, nice screen size. it fits my needs.

The choice for a solid computer at a reasonable cost that will fill most roles.

Build quality seems fine and the laptop includes a carrying case. However there is only 1 stick of 8GB ram soldered with NO other ram slots which looks like a downgrade from last year. So much for being eco-friendly

Overall good computer, but no touch screen. Very nice screen.

Good addition for travel - can keep up with everything!

This has been a great computer for my kids gaming and school work! And believe me, if it wasn’t up to their needs, they would have told me that I had bought the wrong computer.

This computer fits my needs and provides more than adequate performance, noting i am not a ganer nor have i tried photo processing. The risplay and touchpad are very good. I like that it is made from recycled materials and i was able to get $220 for an old Dell laptop. I am very happy with this purchase.

Very fast, works great! It only slows down a little when I'm using the Microsoft Office Excel and Word which seem to use allot of CPU time. My other older laptop was getting so slow I could select Excel and go eat lunch.

Just got mine the other day. Works well. Screen is a bit bigger than a typical 15", loads fast, everything is fine. Not for high end gaming, but as a general laptop, its great.

It's hard to believe that a new computer could function this poorly. On day one of setting it up it operates like a 20-year-old pc absolutely loaded with viruses. The start times for programs are sometimes over a minute, if they even start at all. It freezes constantly and sometimes even the tracking arrow and keyboard won't do anything. Unfortunately, I waited a couple of months after purchasing to unbox it and set it up, so the return window closed. Otherwise this would be a no-brainer return and refund. Some things to like... the aesthetics and the lighted keyboard are cool, so if you're staging a home and you just need a prop that looks like a computer, this could work. But it's not a functional piece of technology.

Feel very cheap, too much flex, good screen, mediocre battery life.

THE WORST...I owned one Acer in the past and was pleased with it's performance. Things have obviously changed at Acer, because this laptop was the biggest piece of junk I have ever come across. They seem to be more enamoured in using environmentally acute packaging materials than making a decent computer, because this was the worst! Trying to get past simple set up was like splitting an atom, and it constantly locked up and leave you twittling your thumbs. Even turning it off was a problem, as twice it just stayed powered up, even though the screen was black (the backlit keys were still lit!). Unless you enjoy wasting time from your life, stay clear of this junk...SERIOUSLY!

I have gotten the chance to use this laptop over the last couple of weeks due to my desktop and I can say I am so completely disappointed. In fact this review would be longer, but I cannot stand typing on this P0S. It freezes up for no good reason, I cannot count how many times it occurs, but it occurred twice while typing this review.
