Actually a nice little chrome book. Touch screen is nice and accurate. Battery lasts about 8 hours when surfing web or completing word documents for job. The cpu is fast enough for the intended use and the ram is sufficient.

I purchased this Chromebook on sale for $289. At that price youll be oressed to find Ryzen 3 and 8gb ram. This thing can handle anything I have thrown at it for being a Chromebook. At full price you're better off buying a full fledge laptop but at sale price this thing is a beast.

My computer life goes back to CPM and DOS, I have made many changes through the years. This was about as easy as it gets. Miss some keystroke legacy but then I got touch screen, convertible and backlit keys. Pretty good trade.

Love this Chromebook. I'm typing on it right now. Plays streaming videos just fine. Picked up a USB-C car charger for it so I can charge it in the car.

Meh. My prior Acer chromebook was a better machine. This one includes a mouse; which is a needed as the trackpad only works about half the time. Overall a disappointment.

Dont waster your money. Pay more for a windows machine. This computer is slow, very slow. In addition, it will connect to my wifi printer. I am sure there are other issues but I've only had the computer a few days. Oh yeah, keyboard is small hard to type unless you have little fingers. User access is confusing. I can't seem to add additional google products to my home screen. For example, I cant add google voice to my home screen, i have to make a bookmark to use it. again, just go with a windows product. pay a little more, I should have

We are sorry you are unhappy with your Chromebook. Chromebooks are different from Windows laptop products in that they are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents living in the cloud. Because of this they don’t have much for on board storage but they also are not expensive either. Chromebooks run off apps like an Android phone or tablet so you cannot download and install applications or .exe files. If you need to use third party software applications that must be installed on the computer, a Chromebook is likely not for you, where a Windows laptop would suit you better. However we would be happy to work with you to see how we can help improve this experience. If you are located in the US or Canada, please feel free to contact our support team at 866-695-2237; they are available to assist 24/7 for in-warranty products.

I really wanted to love my new Acer Spin 514, but after only 5 weeks it crashed. Don't waste your money.

Dear Regretful,
We are sorry to hear this. There can be several reasons for a Chromebook to crash. We suggest you try these steps to resolve the issue:
Turn off your Chromebook, then turn it back on.
Close all your apps and browser windows.
If a specific tab in your browser causes your Chromebook to crash or freeze, hard refresh the page: Ctrl + Shift + r.
If you've installed any new apps or extensions recently, uninstall them.
Reset your Chromebook.
Recover your Chromebook.
