Acer Iconia One 10" 32gb. Great tablet for kids
I bought this Acer Iconia One 10" 32gb tablet as a gift for my 9yr old son and in simple words...he loves it. The tablet is very responsive, it has plenty of capacity storage to download many games and applications. The screen is bright, and quite large. The start-up is not very fast but, it's acceptable. We've been using it for a little more than 3 months, and to this date its had no problems at all.

First Tablet
Bought the tablet to watch Netflix while I'm at work and it works very well for what it was bought for. However, this tablet has a slow response time and some apps just cannot be used for this reason. I love the size of the tablet, the screen is beautiful and I am happy about my purchase for the cost of the item.

Good tablet for the money
I had never given tablets a second thought until I got this one; I assumed my phone was good enough for the apps I use, and my Surface Pro 3 could handle pretty much anything else. However, since getting this tablet, I must admit I'm using it more and more. The 10" screen is large enough to view videos more comfortably than my phone, and the speakers on either side of the tablet provide much better direct sound than either my phone or Surface. Of course pairing Bluetooth devices is fairly simple and straight-forward, and all the ones I paired, including a headset, worked flawlessly. The 10" screen is nice, but I believe the tablet would benefit from a true HD screen instead of 1280x800. This isn't really a huge issue, and it might be one of the ways the price is kept fairly low for this size tablet. As far as battery life goes, I was able to stream Mission Impossible 2 and Interstellar back to back from a full charge. That's easily 5+ hrs of video streaming and there was still a little battery left. The fact that the tablet has two micro-USB ports is very convenient, especially if the tablet needs to be charged and there's a USB device you need to connect at the same time. The micro-SD slot allows more storage for whatever you need, although the cover for the 2nd micro-USB port and micro-SD slot seems like it might break during removal. Although the tablet has 32G of ROM, it only has 1G of RAM, which seems to fill fairly quickly and sometimes slows things down (at least that's what I believe is causing it). Again, not a huge issue, but the first week I had the tablet, it locked up several times and had to be rebooted. There was a firmware update about a week ago which appears to have solved the lock up problem. All in all, for the price, I think this is a fairly nice tablet. It's definitely changed my view on tablets in general, and I wouldn't think twice about recommending this one.

Classy-Looking, Large-Screen, Feature-Packed Table
Right out of the box this tablet impressed me as pretty classy-looking. It appears to be well-constructed out of strong composite materials and even has a non-slip, textured finish on the back. The 10.1 inch, black screen is generously sized and contrasts smartly with the encompassing, white, rounded borders surrounding the display area. It is very thin, approximately 5/16” thick, and weighs approximately 17 ounces. At first glance and because of the streamlined design, layout, and features, this tablet will persuade you that it is much pricier then it actually is. But, the Acer Iconia One engineering and numerous features make this tablet very affordable and a bargain compared to other more expensive tablets with like characteristics. Lots of 'bang for your buck'. WooHoo! There are two front-facing, DTS Surround Sound speakers on either side of the tablet, protected by aluminum trim. Also at the front face of the tablet in the top border is a 2MP camera for photos or video-chatting. Another 5MP camera is positioned in the top back cover. On the left side of the tablet is a micro-USB port for charging, and, or, connecting to a PC. Adjacent to the micro-USB port is a 3.5 mm jack for a headphone or auxiliary speakers. At the top left of the Iconia One is a power button button and next to it is the button for volume control. Adjacent to the volume button is the built-in microphone. On the very top of the Iconia One is a removable plastic cover, which protects the microSD card slot and the microUSB connection for peripherals like a mouse or keyboard. This Acer Iconia One comes with a combo USB and A/C charger, which can also be used to connect to a PC to transfer photos, etc., tablet stand, and a 'Getting Started' guide. This guide provides the websites to register this device and download the comprehensive 'Users Manual', which provides operational details with many useful illustrations. Some of the more noteworthy attributes I loved about this Acer Iconia One 10.1 Tablet: * 1280 x 800 resolution on this Acer tablet is HD, with a nice sized, multi-touch, 10.1 inch screen. Vibrant colors and it orientates itself as you rotate it vertically or horizontally, is IPS with an LCD display screen, and uses LED Backlight Technology. * Wi-Fi card, 802.11 a/b/g/n, supports both the 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz radio bands. So, if you have a dual-band router you can sign-in to the higher 5 Ghz frequency, which offers more channels for high-bandwidth transmissions like streaming movies and videos from Netflix or YouTube. * MicroUSB port on the top of the device next to the microSD slot, which allows you to connect a mouse, physical keyboard, or additional USB data storage. * You can download thousands of apps for games, communication, lifestyle, books & reference, social, etc. from Google Play Store and, or, Amazon App Store. * Micro-SD card slot on top of tablet can accommodate an additional 128 GB of data storage. * Advantages of this Acer Iconia One over my more expensive I-Pad Air; front facing speakers with quality sound instead of speakers facing down, expandable data storage, bigger screen, video chatting over several services, Hangouts, and, or Skype. * Voice search and commands for the Internet, compose emails, and GPS locations and directions. * Can use my I-Phone or Android mobile phone to set-up a Hotspot after pairing this Acer Iconia Tablet with that particular phone through Bluetooth. There are many other fine features like the latest Android OS, Marshmallow 6.0, - - 1.3 Ghz, quad-core processor - Bluetooth 4.0 - 32 GB of Flash Memory internal storage capacity – 1 GB internal memory – approximately 10 hours of battery power when fully charged - one year warranty. Now, time for some of the Cons: * This Acer Iconia One needs some sort of screen protection as fingermarks are prolific and hard to clean from the unprotected screen. * The plastic cover on top of the tablet for the microSD card and microUSB port is kind of 'cheesy'. It appears not to be durable in the long run and should be re-designed. * Acer has preloaded this fine tablet with lots of 'bloatware' apps, which you need to go through and, or, evaluate / eliminate for more efficient memory management. * The RAM memory could be increased or even doubled. You have to get into the habit of managing your 'open' apps wisely. Those 'open' apps not being used must be 'closed', or, you will constantly receive insufficient memory warnings. I think Acer has done a pretty creditable job designing this Acer Iconia One - 10.1 Tablet for the price and its numerous functions. I received this complimentary device in exchange for a unbiased and comprehensive review. This affordable tablet is almost as good as my I-Pad Air at only a fourth of the cost. Because of its great functionality, large screen, affordability, and lightweight it would also be an ideal tablet for Seniors, especially, those with arthritis, or hand issues. This 17 ounce tablet can comfortably be held with one hand for a reasonable amount of time. And, for the very same reasons mentioned for Seniors this Acer Iconia would also be great for kids, too, especially with Christmas fast approaching. There are thousands of games, learning, and reading apps for children at both Google and Amazon – great many of the FREE. YooHoo! I recommend this Acer Iconia One as an 'everyday' tablet for anyone, who wants a multi-media device for pics, videos, games, e-mail, web browsing, video chatting, music, movies, etc. and does not need a laptop / desktop for other kinds of complex functions. If you do your 'homework' and compare – this Acer Iconia One 10.1 – 32 GB Tablet will not disappoint . . . .

Decent for the price
This is an update to the Icona One 10.1 B3-A20, there isn’t a lot of difference that I can see they look identical. It has the same MediaTek MT8163 processor and 1gb system memory, with 32gb of storage space. The screen is a 10.1 1280x800 resolution screen and is supposed to be IPS. First I feel this is a tablet for someone that want’s a tablet but doesn’t want to spend much money, “this one isn’t expensive at all”. It may also best be suited for a youngster to play around with and watch videos along with some learning games, it would probably work really well for that, and not a big gouge out of your wallet if they happen to break it. First the positive things. The design is pretty good, it’s not a thin tablet but it’s not really heavy, the back is flat white, “really white” and has a nice texture for gripping. I was really surprised to find a second micro USB port under the cleverly concealed cover right above the camera and is part of the chrome trim piece. There is also a Micro SD card slot under there as well. Not sure if everyone will like it but everything else is stark white, “the back, bezel, even the power and volume buttons, everything but the surround around the rear camera is very stark white”. It also comes with a little plastic two position kick stand which is a nice add-on. It’s also nice that a tablet at this price has 32gb worth of storage built in. Now the negatives. This isn’t the fastest tablet out there, but for the price point it’s exactly where I would probably place it. The screen to me doesn’t look like an IPS screen, from an angle things start washing out pretty fast, straight on and it looks really good. The volume is not very loud, even maxed out I found myself wanting to use headphones. In a quiet room they are plenty but any background noise I needed more. There are also no sensors besides a position sensor for game playing, and that’s it. Aida64 shows there is nothing else but that. There’s only 1gb of memory, and it will fill up fast. If you are a power tablet user then you need to look elsewhere, but you probably already know that. Like I said at the beginning, this seems to be more for someone that isn’t going to do much other than check email, browse the internet and maybe some casual gaming, but that’s about it. I would be a good first tablet for a kid or young adult to start out with. In all this isn’t too bad of a basic tablet, I checked email, used hangouts a little, without any problems. I also watched some YouTube videos and they played really well. I haven’t had time to test everything out but when I have some time spare time I’ll be checking it out more and reporting back.
