I've used a few Acer laptops in the past, was never really impressed with them. But this? I was absolutely blown away by this laptop. Has a decent graphics card for light gaming, a beast of a processor, 16gb of ddr4 ram, at 3200mhz, and a 512gb SSD, which can be either upgraded, or you can add an extra SATA SSD if needed. Not sure why it says this runs on android, it has Windows 11 lol. Also, it doesnt get fingerprints on it, which was nice to see. It is a plastic build, but very durable. The cooling system in this is better than most gaming laptops out there, the thermals are incredible. And the Nitro Sense software lets you adjust the RGB on the keyboard, as well as the cooling. As for battery life, I mean its a gaming laptop. You can get 2-4 hours when using just the battery. The Display is decent, definitely not the best, but its not bad at all. If you have a budget under 1,000, this is the one to go with

I've reviewed other Acer Nitro 5 laptops and this is by far the best revision. Comes with all the bells you could ask for in a budget entry level machine. A powerful i5-12500H that competes with some CPUs that are more expensive. Its has an RTX 3050 TI that is faster than the standard 3050. It's not by much but it is what it is. The case design is pretty clean and does away with those horrible red keys. Has 16GB of RAM standard which used to be only 8GB. Plenty of expansion space and comes with a pretty fast NVME drive which is only 512GB. It'll hold 10 games easily so don't install all of the COD series as some of them such as Warzone is over 150GB. Webcam is pretty decent while the speakers are awful. Battery life is still the same as its still using the same size battery as the previous (55wh). Expect around 3 hours and even less if you are gaming. There is no mux switch which would help. Display is 144Hz and the brightness is low. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-300 nits. Other improvements are the increased fan speeds for the fans reaching over 7000RPM’s when on Max.. This helps to lower temps that were high in the past in conjunction with the new openings on the top to allow air intake. With that said, it’s still a good machine for under a grand. i use this laptop specifically to play games and i have a macbook for everything else. it runs everything i play super smooth and i really love it. wouldn’t recommend for just general use, definitely only get if you plan to play lots of games on it. only complaints are that the speakers are pretty bad and the battery dies fast, but that’s expected with a budget gaming laptop that’s gonna be plugged in and used with headphones most of the time anyway. the only thing i really wish was different was the color accuracy, it’s not bad but not great either. also, the keyboard is AMAZING

Sturdy build (does not feel cheap), keyboard keys nice and solid to the touch-spacing is great. Fast cold boot. Agree on reviews about low battery life (no biggie because it is mostly used like a desktop). Screen physical observation is similar to those hi-end IBM ThinkPad back in the day-which is fine (no glare or light reflection). I hope it came with Windows 10 instead of 11. Our 10 year old loved it for hybrid class and occassional Roblox playing. Gave it as a gift.

I've had it for about 2 months now and so far it is amazing. It can run all my essential game such as Grounded, Sea of thieves, Apex, Fortnite, Warzone, and Rust. Fans work good, love the customization of the keys, feels great and seems heavy duty. Would recommend if not keen to desktops and want a built solid gaming laptop, 10/10 honestly really happy with my purchase :)

Computer has great performance, the display is beautiful and it’s useful for both gaming and school work. ONLY downside that I have seen so far is that the battery life, especially when gaming is very very low. You will have to keep the laptop plugged in if you’re running any heavy games. Other than that, if you can shell out the money it is definitely worth it.

As a dedicated gamer, I invested in the Acer Nitro laptop four months ago, and I must say, it has been a reliable and powerful companion in my gaming adventures. Let me share my experience and provide an honest review of the Acer Nitro, highlighting its strengths and areas for improvement. First and foremost, the performance of the Acer Nitro laptop is commendable. Equipped with a high-end processor and a dedicated graphics card, it effortlessly handles demanding games with impressive speed and fluidity. Whether I'm engaged in intense multiplayer battles or exploring vast open-world environments, the laptop maintains a stable frame rate and delivers stunning visuals. The 15.6-inch display of the Acer Nitro offers vibrant colors and sharp details, enhancing my gaming experience further. The Full HD resolution ensures that every scene is crisp and immersive, allowing me to fully appreciate the intricate details of game worlds. The display also benefits from a good level of brightness, making it suitable for both gaming and multimedia consumption.

Very impressed with the laptop. Fast processor 12 cores and 16 gbs of ram, I slapped a samsung 990pro 2 tbs for more storage. The ONLY bad thing i can say is that the battery last 1hr on battery

Gift from my fiancé so I can play sims. Love it. Runs fast and can play sims 4 at ultra graphics. I love the rainbow keyboard options.

Awesome laptop. Feels solid. Screen looks good. Keyboard is nice. Upgradeability options are nice. Only downside it the battery doesn't last very long.

I love this laptop ive customized the keyboard so its color it’s colorful, i play sims on it uts super fast no lagging i have all kinds od Mods ect downlad and everything unning perfect

So got rid of my desktop for my first laptop. Figured drop the extra cash on a gaming laptop so i could finally play Squad, Arma 3, and Escape from Tarkov. This system has met those expectations. Running high and epic settings and still getting good fps 95% of the time. And when it is laggy i think its the network, not my system. One month in at this point and so far very happy.

I recently acquired the Acer Nitro 5 - 15.6" FHD Gaming Laptop, and overall, I'm quite satisfied with its performance, especially considering its price point. While it has its strengths for VR gaming, there are a few aspects that could be improved, Let's start with the positives. The combination of the Intel Core i5 processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card delivers commendable performance for most gaming needs. VR gaming, in particular, is quite enjoyable on this laptop. The graphics are impressive, and the frame rates are generally smooth, creating an immersive experience that draws you into the virtual world. The 16GB DDR4 RAM is a definite advantage, providing sufficient memory for multitasking and ensuring smooth performance while running demanding games and applications simultaneously. You can enjoy seamless gameplay without worrying about performance issues or lag. The 512GB Gen 4 SSD storage is a reasonable size and offers fast loading times, allowing you to jump into your games quickly. It provides enough space for your gaming library and other files, although it might fill up relatively quickly if you have a large collection of games. In terms of design, the Acer Nitro 5 boasts a sleek black finish that gives it a modern and premium look. The 15.6" FHD display delivers vibrant visuals, enhancing your gaming experience. The keyboard is comfortable to use, and the backlit keys are a nice touch for low-light environments. Now, let's address the areas where the laptop could be improved. While the performance is generally good, there are instances where demanding VR games may push the limits of the Intel Core i5 processor. Upgrading to a more powerful processor would enhance the overall performance and future-proof the laptop. Additionally, while the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card is capable, it may struggle with the most demanding VR titles on higher settings. For optimal performance in VR gaming, a more powerful graphics card would be desirable. Despite these minor limitations, the Acer Nitro 5 - 15.6" FHD Gaming Laptop is still an excellent choice for gamers on a budget. Its performance and affordability make it a solid option for VR gaming enthusiasts who don't want to invest heavily in a high-end gaming rig. In conclusion, if you're looking for an affordable gaming laptop that can handle VR gaming and offers respectable performance, the Acer Nitro 5 is a solid choice. While it has some room for improvement, its price-to-performance ratio remains impressive. Consider this laptop if you're looking to dip your toes into VR gaming without breaking the bank.

I gave to my son a laptop gamer. It was good price and good Ram memory and speed

I am a huge simmer, someone who loves to play the Sims if you don't know. This was my first officially gaming laptop and I am in love with this laptop. I'm not techy but the quality in screen and in gameplay is outstanding, photos can't do justice. The keyboard is amazing and I love that I can change the keyboard colors! If you are a simmer this laptop is for you!

Amazing laptop. Works exactly how I need it to. Use it every day, I do recommend it because it works so well. I record videos, play games, compose music, it does everything.

Overall good laptop although I returned mine since it was open box and the wifi kept falling off. Pretty fast overall was able to play RuneScape and satisfactory max settings 1080p 40-75fps depending on what was rendering. 12500h is fast as well.

I am really happy with this laptop so far. Good gaming performance for the money, the 144Hz display is excellent, and the overall build quality is solid. I am able to play GTA V at Ultra settings at 100+ FPS, and Red Dead Redemption 2 at High settings averaging 60+ FPS. I use this as my daily driver and gaming system, and it does both really well. Runs cool and the noise level of the fans is acceptable. You can do a lot worse.

Absolutely love this computer, it out does just about anything I have put it through.

Great computer its fast and great picture. Ill probably add more memory but sounds easy by what others have said.
