Q: I'm going to write a book, would this cromebook be good for my needs? If not what do you suggest?
A: At least one award-winning writer, John Scalzi, has used a Chromebook to write some of his novels. I would say that's a clear vote of confidence for a Chromebook. I use an older version of this laptop (not a 2-in-1, but this size and general layout) and have used it to write lengthy documents as well.

A: The LCD is glossy on the Chromebook.
Q: Can you use Mircosoft excel and word on this chromebook?

Q: Is there a limit to the size of Micro SD card supported?
A: I put a 128 in mine I do not have the money to try a 256 or 512
Q: Is this model ONLY touchscreen?
A: This functions like a standard Chromebook but adds touch screen capability.
Q: If my Internet connection does not work, can I still use this device?
A: Yes you can, but it is a little pointless. Since it is a Chromebook, Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets are available offline, as well as some Google Play Store apps and games, but that is it. Most of the other items you use a laptop for like watching videos or surfing the net require an internet connection.
A: You can buy an inexpensive adapter to plug an Ethernet cable into the USB port. We use them at the school I work for.
