This laptop is nice looking and good size for what my use is, Keys are nice as well as backlit keyboard, I love the side number key pad, the processing has worked nicely and it has great storage. One thing that happened in the first week is a spinning circle due to something was trying to update, it took some time to fix on it's own but has been working well since. The screen touch pad is nice of course. The track pad is sensitive and I still need to get used to it. Overall I'm happy with my purchase so far!

I really wanted to love this laptop, and now that I believe I have the stability problem resolved, I probably will. For the price, the hardware is exceptional: 32GB of memory, 1TB SSD, a beautiful 16-inch OLED touchscreen, a new Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, and excellent overall performance. I purchased it for $899 (Early July promotional price), and I honestly haven’t found another laptop that offers this combination of specifications anywhere near that price. Unfortunately, my experience getting there was extremely frustrating. I went through three laptops (two exchanges) because the computers experienced repeated hardware errors, crashes, unexpected restarts and eventually a blue screen. Best Buy was excellent throughout the process and exchanged the machines without making the situation difficult. The surprising part came when I started investigating the crashes myself. Windows Reliability Monitor repeatedly identified errors associated with the Intel NPU, yet neither Windows Update nor Acer’s normal update process identified that the NPU driver needed to be updated. Acer’s support page for this model was also offering an older Intel VPU/NPU driver than what Intel had already released for the processor. After manually installing Intel’s newer NPU driver, the repeated hardware errors and system crashes appear to have stopped. I’m continuing to monitor it, but the difference so far has been significant. That’s where my ratings come from: Laptop/value: 5/5. This is an incredible amount of computer for the sale price. Best Buy/customer service: 5/5. They stood behind the purchase through multiple exchanges and made a frustrating situation much easier. Acer software/driver readiness: 2/5. A brand-new laptop should not ship with drivers sufficiently outdated that they can potentially cause this level of instability. Automatic driver/update detection: 1/5. The most frustrating part was having Windows and Acer tell me essentially everything was current while Reliability Monitor was recording repeated failures involving a component with a substantially newer Intel driver available. If Acer gets the driver-management side of this product sorted out, I think this could be one of the best laptop values on the market. The hardware deserves the high ratings this model is receiving. The out-of-box software experience in my case absolutely did not. I would recommend it, but with an important caveat: if you experience unexplained crashes, hardware errors or restarts, don’t immediately assume the laptop itself is defective. Check the Intel graphics and NPU drivers against Intel’s current releases rather than relying exclusively on Windows Update or Acer’s support utility.

Laptops have really come a far away in terms of technology and portability. This Acer covers it all. In terms of the technology, this computer does it all. There is little this laptop can’t do, short of being a gaming computer, but you’re not buying it for that anyway. It does everything, and everything very well and fast!!! The design of the Acer Swift Go 16 is superior. The components are all top quality. The build quality is excellent, all in a lightweight design. The case is super strong and looks sleek. The keyboard is smooth to use and the keys feel great. The backlit keyboard looks awesome and is very usable in dark light situations. There is plenty of storage on this laptop and speed has never been an issue. It does things quickly and I never had a hiccup. The OLED screen looks amazing. It did take a few adjustments to get it to my liking in terms of contrast and brightness, but once calibrated, it looks great and I found that there is no strain on the eyes. The 16” screen is a very happy medium. It’s small enough to keep the laptop compact, but offers enough real estate to see everything and everything clear. Text is bold and concise and colors are superior and accurate. There are plenty of ports and you can plug everything in that you need. If there is one shortfall, I wish the length of the power cord was about 2-3 feet longer. It’s more than workable, but for my setup, I wish it had the extra length. Battery life is excellent and this thing will runs for hours on end before needing a recharge. Overall I am super happy with this Acer and they nailed it. It’s a superior computer and do just about anything. It will handle just about any task you throw at it, and look good doing it. Highly recommended.

This laptop was a great value for the money and has worked flawlessly. I would highly recommend this Acer.

I can’t stray from the perfect blacks and vibrant colors. It’s just too clean for my eyes, and everything else looks inferior. OLED picture quality never disappoints me. Whether 2K, 3K, or 4K, the picture quality is usually near-flawless. The Acer Swift Go 16 is 2K, and the quality looks similar to that of most of my 4K screens. It probably helps that the screen is only 16 inches compared to my 65-inch TV. This screen is awesome. The 1T solid-state drive provides ample storage for programs and files. Whether you’re a professional, a hobbyist, or just looking for an entertainment device, this will work just fine for you. While I would have preferred a higher refresh rate, the 60Hz OLED panel still delivers a fluid viewing experience. If you’re not gaming, 60Hz is enough to enjoy media. My guess is if you’re buying this, you aren’t buying it for gaming. Despite lacking a beefy graphics card, the laptop handles games smoothly, but temper your expectations, especially for newer demanding games. The battery life is advertised at over 20 hours. I feel this depends on what you’re using it for. If you listen to music with the screen off, it’ll last even longer. If you have a long flight and want to watch movies or shows the entire time, this will work great. It charges quickly, from what I can tell, and lasts a long time. That’s what most of us care about. The standout feature is undeniably the OLED screen. Streaming movies and TV shows or even sports shows offers incredible contrast, perfect blacks, and splashy colors. The speakers are loud and clear. I even heard directional stereo, which is always nice. Of course, I prefer headphones, but I was pleasantly surprised by the sound the speakers give. The device also supports HDR, which should be standard nowadays. But in this case, Acer implemented it well. This is a lightweight machine that is perfect for college students or those who want a “full-size 16-inch” in a package that is easy to travel with. It’s very capable of replacing a full-scale laptop. Although the one thing I would love is for the screen to rotate completely. However, you do get a full-size keyboard, which is always a sacrifice for smaller Go laptops. It’s a good trade-off, I guess.
