Our installers can give your setup a clean look when you choose the Add-On Basic Wire Conceal service. For properly rated non-powered cables, we’ll conceal them within the wall in a single stud bay. If we’re extending power cables, we’ll make sure an approved extension kit (sold separately) meets your desired mounting height requirements. Then, we’ll install the outlet portion of the device in a drywall surface at the desired height, run the in-wall-rated jumper cable in a single wall stud bay and install the receptacle portion of the kit near an existing power outlet below. When we’re done, we’ll test for power and show you the completed install. Finally, we’ll ensure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed, and the workspace is clean when we finish. Best Buy’s TV and home theater services are backed by a 90-day limited workmanship warranty.
- Initial evaluation and consultation: When we arrive at your home, we'll evaluate the service area and discuss the scope of work to ensure that the services purchased meet your needs and expectations. If they don't, we'll recommend solutions.
- Concealing cables: We’ll conceal the properly rated video cables in the wall within a single stud bay so they’re out of sight.
- Installing an in-wall power extension kit: If you need an in-wall power extension kit (sold separately) installed, we’ll help you choose the ideal placement based on your desired TV location and install the device in a drywall surface between two studs.
- Neatly dressing visible cables: We'll make sure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed and that wire ties are used when necessary.
- Cleaning up and testing: After the installation, we'll clean up our work area, remove unneeded product packaging, test for functionality and make sure you’re satisfied with the service.

- In-wall power extension service is not available in all areas, specifically NY, WA & Cook County (Chicago) IL. In-wall power extension service is only applicable for kits sold by Best Buy or Geek Squad and are sold separately.
- This service does not include concealing cables outside a single stud bay or any other type of custom wiring or electrical work.
- Additional charges may apply for delivery or services in extended areas; the charges are based on location. Service returns cannot be accepted after installation services are completed. Due to state and local requirements, this service is not available in all areas.
- Add-on services must be purchased and scheduled at the same time as a primary installation or your appointment may be rescheduled with additional charges.
- We provide a 90-day workmanship warranty on applicable services. If a service call is needed within the warranty period, there will be a $99.99 deposit plus applicable taxes at the time of scheduling which will be refunded to you if we determine that there was a defect in our workmanship. This warranty begins from the date of service completion.
