Add-On Refrigerator or Freezer Door Reversal

The door was removed for ease of installation and because our kitchen needed a reversal from the delivered direction of opening. We were pleased that there was no additional charge for the door removal and reversal. The crew carefully reinstalled the door, leveled the refrigerator and checked that the closure was smooth. Unfortunately they did not check it with heavy items in the door, so as soon as we replaced items in the door, like milk and juice, the door would not close without lifting and forcing. A service call fixed the problem for a couple of weeks but it has recurred. We hope that it is a simple adjustment but with the pandemic we are reluctant to call for service. In the meantime we have to be careful to check that the door has closed. The open door alarm is most helpful. The left image shows the door installation. I purchased a LG top freezer refrigerator for my laundry room. It was delivered on time and I really am happy with my purchase. The only problem I had was that I needed the door handle to be reversed to the opposite side. So I called customer service and they rescheduled the servicmen for the next day because the serviceman that delivered the refrigerator said changing handle wasn’t on the order and there would be additional charges. Customer service took care of the issue and the handle was replaced the next day. I’m really loving the additional refrigerator space. This LG refrigerator is larger than I expected. Great purchase.

Having the door changed to open for convenience (so it doesn’t block the work station) by professionals was a very good buy. They were so kind, careful, and thorough about their task they even polished the fridge before leaving.

It took a second apt, but the guys sent out for the work the second time were great! They fixed the door so it opens the correct way. I don’t remember their names, but they were Hispanic limited English, but they still communicated well and even fixed another thing for me that the last guy should have. Very nice!!

Well, the handle was transferred wonderfully, but the cosmetic plugs to cover the holes were damaged do I now have holes on the front of my new fridge. The screw that holds the cover on the door hinge was sheared and it cannot be attached to the top. And I noticed today 3weeks later there are additional holes uncovered where the foor hinge was moved from. Cannot get the geek squad to understand my issues so they aren't resolved yet.
