The games animation looks great and is paired well with unique music. The gameplay is a fun and thought provoking. If you like xcom this game is a similar experience with a more simplified experience. Multiplayer is fun but there is no public Multiplayer option. You need to know a person and have them as a friend to play against them. It has 2 player split-screen ( couch coop).

A delicious entry into the series even though it is a remake. The online mode needs improvements but still fun when playing 1v1 with a friend. Los of content packed into both games. Buy this game and support the series.

Overall, a good faithful remake of the original games. It's good to have online multiplayer and mapmaking tools. I remove one star because multiplayer has less customization than the free Advance Wars by Web website, and the lack of Dual Strike content.

I remember playing AW2 on the bus ride home back in high school. In terms of mechanics, it’s basically unchanged from how it was back then. The animated cutscenes are very well done and add a lot of charm to the game. It’s a shame that we can’t play multiplayer against randoms online. Friends only doesn’t work when your friends don’t play.
