I am not happy with this unit. It failed big time when we had the 4 day heat wave in the northeast. When the outside temps got over 95, this piece of crap wouldn't blow out cool air. If it did, it would blow out for maybe one full minute then stop like it was going to shut down. I had a few sweaty, uncomfortable nights. Google said that ACs only cool the indoors 15-20 degrees cooler than what the temperature is outdoors. So if it's 100 outside, it can only cool to 80? I'm livid and hoping for no more days over 95. The old school window units are better. This new stuff is poor quality! It also doesn't cool well, as I have to use a fan to circulate the air but not it doesn't reach everywhere. My studio is 474 sq ft and I am forced to purchase another floor fan and an evaporative air cool smh. I give two stars because it uses WIFI so you can turn it on and off when your not home.

My room that needed cooling was less than 300 sq ft. The AERP051AMW does a great job cooling it. It doesn't constantly cycle on and off (like a higher BTU unit that is overszed would), and in the two weeks I've been using it, I've never had to drain any excess water. It's important to size the unit correctly for the room size, so if you need a greatly priced unit for a smaller room, this is an ecellent choice. Plus it has a 2 year warranty!
