This robotic skimmer is a good concept but Aiper falls short with this product. I love their N1 pool vacuum but this guy has sensors that keep it from getting close to the walls, where most leaves are the surface gather. So it brushes past them and often has leaves trailing it in its wake. It also has so little power that you can't run it while your pool's built-in skimmer is on because it will get sucked into and block your skimmer. The solar power feature is cool but the unit turns on unexpectedly while it's charging in the sunshine on the pool deck thereby depleting its power. It's also relatively difficult to unlatch the top to dump the leaf basket, which also has a terrible upside-down design that makes it inconvenient to use. It also has a nearly worthless app. Aiper needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. Photo shows this one as I'm preparing it for return.

Thanks for your feedback and sharing your experience with us on the solar-powered automatic robotic pool skimmer cleaner Surfer M1. Regarding the concerns you mentioned, we believe that: 1. Leaves may be driven close to the wall by the waves when the machine is running. When the leaves float out or after manual intervention, they will be cleaned. 2. When the machine is running, please make sure that the pool's filtration system is turned off. 3. The machine can be kept running frequently under normal solar charging, so that floating objects on the water surface can be cleaned at any time without human intervention. 4. We recommend opening the trash basket over the trash can to empty it. 5. When the pool is large, or you expect the machine to clean a certain area, the APP has a friendly remote control function. We will certainly take the feedback seriously and work hard to improve our products to make them more user-friendly and more in line with user expectations. Should you need any other assistance, please feel free to contact our customer support via email at service@aiper.com. We are always ready to help.

I've been a dedicated Aiper user with several of their devices, and I can confidently say this is a great device that has made my pool maintenance simple and effective. It performs flawlessly and is incredibly easy to use. The battery life is particularly impressive; operating in the intense Las Vegas sun, I found that it lasted for multiple days without needing a charge, significantly exceeding the typical listed run-time. Beyond the product itself, the customer service team at Aiper deserves epic recognition. When I ran into some frustrating technical issues, I was lucky enough to work with two representatives, Raven and Lem. They demonstrated an incredible commitment to ensuring I had a working device. They went above and beyond, providing detailed support, helping me resolve complex issues, and even assisting me in getting a replacement part for another device. Their proactive and attentive communication was what truly set them apart. It's rare to find a company that produces excellent products and has customer service that genuinely stands behind them. They turned a complicated situation into an overwhelmingly positive support experience. Make sure you give your robot a clever name, it always makes it more fun when you have a poolbot, We call our Hank 10, the Surferbot

Very nice product. Works perfectly for getting all the gas trimmings and bugs that like to float. Also runs very quietly so that’s a plus

This pool skimmer is exactly what I needed. I have leaves and tree debris that falls in my pool and this skimmer gets it all. My pool is finally clean. It does a great job and I love the solar charging! Also this design is very sleek and looks very modern. I highly recommend this product and my neighbor just bought one too.

Does what it's supposed to do. Picks up that annoying pollen as well as leafs, sticks, feathers, bugs, etc. I like it so much I'm thinking about surprising my parents with one.

We live in a heavily wooded area and are having to get leaves of the pool frequently. We had heard people taking about skimmer robots and how they loved them. We decided to give this one a try. It took a little bit to learn how to navigate the robot to where you want it to go, but now that I have the hang of it I’m loving it. Just make sure to connect to Bluetooth before setting in the pool as it takes a bit to connect after it’s running. If you choose to not connect to Bluetooth and just let it run, the skimmer robot runs without any problem. I am glad to have this as a tool to keep the pool clean. Come fall when the leaves start falling we may be able to keep the pool open longer with the robot helping keep it clean.

Overall OK but could've been better. Need to wither add sensors underwater so it doesn't crash into infinity walls, or have it reverse once it's stuck for more than 5 seconds. Mine was just pushing against the infinity wall for like 30 minutes, so had to return it.

Great product and adds a level of convenience to personal home pool cleaning. No cords, hoses, or poles. Super efficient and picks up micro-specs of debris. The pool is left not just looking, but feeling clean.

Battery life leaves a bit to be desired, but has made process of opening pool very easy, especially not having a lot of time to skim

I've had this for 3 days. So far, there haven't been major problems I couldnt handle. First, I let it charge using the DC charger like the instructions said. However, I wanted to know how long it would take to fully charge the unit that way, but that information wasn't included in the instructions. I let it charge overnight, so it wasnt a big problem. Second, when I got it into the pool, I had difficulty getting it to turn on. What the instructions don't tell you is that you have to press the on/off button until it beeps, then you press the light button to get it to start. I was told by the Aiper rep that the lag time is so the user has time to put it into the pool after the on button is pushed, but that information was never included in the instructions. Also, it makes no sense to give a person time to put it into the pool, but the user still has to push the light button when it's in the water to get it to start. Another user said it will run when it isnt in the water, but the bottom line is, more precise instructions are needed. I think the way to keep it from turning on out of the water is to make sure the on/off button is fully depressed before leaving it outside the pool. I am very happy with the way it cleans. It took one hour to fully clean my 30X15 ft. oval pool. The basket was completely full of leaves. The only problem is that when you turn it off, you need to remove it from the pool. Leaves will float out of the basket if its not moving. I am also having to experiment with different ways to take it out of the pool, because I experience a bit of leaf backwash. But it's nothing compared to the amount of work this unit actually does in cleaning the leaves due to my neighbor's 70 foot pecan trees!

Thanks for your feedback. We are very sorry for the unpleasant experience with the Surfer M1 Solar Powered Automatic Robotic Pool Skimmer Cleaner. To further make sure what caused it not to charge, please do the troubleshooting steps below: 1. Plug the charger into the power socket. The charger shows a fixed green light, which means the charger is normal. If not, the charger is defective; 2. Make sure the machine is turned off; 3. Connect the charger to the machine, the machine will beep and the corresponding indicator light will light up and flash; 4. If the machine is connected to the charger and cannot charge normally, check whether the charging port is corroded or otherwise abnormal. If the machine does not respond after a long period of charging, the machine should be defective. We appreciate your support and cooperation in providing these details with us via email at service@aiper.com. We understand that timely and effective support is crucial, and we are committed to resolving any issues you may encounter promptly.
