great laptop for gaming. laptop is very thin but thermals were good. when playing games, fans will ramp up to 100% and it's very loud. screen is nice. 300 nits of brightness and fast refresh rate at 360hz but could not utilize it fully when playing games because of cpu throttling during high temps. i only get 80-about 110 fps average because of that thermal issues. battery life is not good. ram cannot be upgraded at all because all were soldered to the board. there were 2 nvme ssd slots which were pci-e gen 4. wifi 6e is fast and can be upgraded too in the future. the power brick is nice and slim and small. sadly, returned the laptop and exchange for asus zephyrus g14 because the touchpad is broken. if you plan on buying this laptop, be sure it will be on sale because i can't justify buying this at full msrp price of $2,139 given there were some issues and limitations.

I picked this up as a dual purpose workstation and gaming computer a few years ago for my college game design classes and needless to say it performed as intended. Yes it will be loud and/or hot while gaming but that's laptops for you, the point is, that in 2025 it can still handle current releases on high settings, and now these laptops are even more affordable than when I bought mine on sale.

I’d been on the fence on this one for a while and I’m more than happy with the purchase. It’s lightning fast and is easily the best computer laptop or otherwise I’ve ever owned. Well worth the money and has been able to handle anything I’ve used it for with ease. I set it up with the matching monitor, mouse, and keyboard and run it like a desktop that I can take With me. I even got some games and gotten back into a long lost hobby. 10/10 I would purchase again and Alienware has earned a customer for life.

The aesthetic of this laptop is beautiful 10/10 but when you turn it on the fan gets so loud it literally sounds like a rocket ship. That is just from being on the Home Screen, or barely searching something on the internet. I bought a fan cooler but it didn’t seem to reduce the sound. I can’t imagine how much it would overheat with gaming. Definitely suggest to watch reviews and possibly get the x17 since it has better fans/coolers.
