i brought along my blendtec blender to New Zealand for a year and on paper this transformer/adapter should work. The Best Buy Taff were so helpful in going through the specs with me, unfortunately, it still didn't work. Not enough grunt to get it going properly.

A good, practical, easy to use and carry adapter, reasoanbly priced.

I haven't had the chance to take this unit overseas to test it out as a converter yet, but using it as an adaptor works well. I especially like the fact that it is a small, compact one unit as opposed to something ungainly large. What I'm not crazy about is the sliders used to release each different country's adaptor sockets, i.e. it is made of plastic, and seem to be somewhat flimsy. I guess if you take it easy, and don't force it, it should work. I would hate to have it break on me when I'm overseas, and I can't release that socket for use. Oh, well, the price is right. Another good feature is the fact that this can output up to 1850 watts, which means it should be able to accomodate most hair dryers and hot water kettles.

Took it on a trip and did OK. Did get hot, it is bulky and pricey IMO. But if you need it for appliances like blowdryers or hair straighteners, this works.

Purchased this to replace one that had issues actually opening up the prongs to plug into outlets. Checked this version out only to find the same issue. Not all of the prongs would extend to be used. Opened a second box (in store at counter) and found one that worked correctly. Used without any problems in England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France. Great for travel, easy to carry in day packs while exploring the world. a must have for any world traveler.

This adapter is light weight and easy to use. We used it in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Our old 17 year old adapter weighs three times as much and gets warm after being plugged in for a half hour or more. This one doesn't.

Bought for my son's school trip to UK -- worked great -- light weight -- these used to be really heavy but this one was not too bad -- both an adapter and a converter

I initially bought it to travel to Italy, then ended up traveling to Australia a few months later. I was able to get use out of it in both countries, and it really easy to use. Wish it was smaller, but the fact that I can use it in any country is worth it.

Finally a economically international power adapter that has all country plugs with no need for separate outlet adapters that works great.

I had another charger purchased years ago that was built well but I misplaced it so we bought 2 new ones from Insignia for a 2 week family trip ti Thailand. We only stayed at very nice hotels. First the good, it has a currency converter from 220 volts to 110 volts. You must have this feature or you risk damaging your American devices in this country. The quality of the unit is flimsy. It seems like it will fall apart if dropped or repeatedly used, nothing like my old one built be another company. The std for thai is a double prong, like to 2 nails going into the socket. When you use this attachment which this unit has the body of the unit sticks out about an inch from the wall making it very unstable and easily fell off the wall if bumped. Because the international hotels had outlets that could except multiple male typed I used the two flat ones that appear like a screw driver flat end but longer. For some reason the unit was designed to be full inserted and then the box sits adjacent to the wall and is much less likely to fall off. This took a week of the vacation experimenting with it wich frankly is a waste of my time and meant we had our iPhone ipad ipod devices not always charged with kids complaining. I suspect some of you are thinking can't americans go anywhere without a device and you are probably right but the purpose of insignia is to connect 110 to 220 units. Also, don't forget to flip the little switch on the side (well hidden) to activate this function. I was also paranoid my kids would forget this and fry their devices, I know maybe that's a good thing to increase family time ;-). Bottom line it barely works and needs design improvements to become a quality product.

I was taking a trip crossing multiple countries and in doing this in the past, I have had issues with kits and multiple pieces. This truly is an all in one and kept me from blowing up my phone again due to difference in electric current between the states and the other countries. The converter built in along with the different plugs is priceless to me.. Dont be cheap like I was initially cause that could cost you hundreds in the long run!!

This item works great. Had this same model for Prague, gave to my brother, because his did not work. Purchased the same one for trip to Spain. Again worked great! Love it, gave this one to my niece who is going to England. Will be buying another one. Sales person in store was very helpful. Maybe it costs a little more, but it works great. My brother keeps buying cheap ones that do not work, that is not a saving!

Used in the UK with no problems. Make sure to read the instructions - the slider switch for selecting the right connectors is easy to operate and shouldn't be forced.

lightweight for carrying, Europe plug folds in nicely but can collapse when plugging into outlet, once in outlet it was fine versatile for numerous countries

This product has several adapters for european countries. We only needed one for Norway. It is also a converter as well which is important for hair dryers etc. I think I would try to get one that is just for Norway (or whatever country you are traveling to) as this one is a little clumsy. It didn't fit the outlets real well due to the size, but it worked. The prongs got a little bent but still worked.

We brought this before taking our trip to Europe. We stayed in a Hotel in Rome, Italy and it worked like a charm. There are so many adapters built into this unit that there was no problem finding the correct one for Italy. We charged our devices every night using this power adapter and we had no problem. HIghly recommended.

Like this converter is light and does the job perfectly. Only remark I have is that it is rather large and on a multiple outlet it covers both.

It works for the converting any laptop or mobile device to whichever outlet that might be needed. I also like that it has the 3rd ground plug so your laptop can also be converted. However, it really doesn't work in Africa, and many Asian countries. Also, if you have one of those really expensive hair straighteners (ie, CHI) that does not have the 120-240 switch then it doesn't work and may blow the circuit. Just be warned.

Took this on a trip around the world. It's one piece design makes it hard to lose but can be tricky to plug in because of it's bulk
