this is a movie about a boy journey and all the things he has to do to survive it is admirable you have to see it

I love this movie I’ve been looking for for a long time for the Director’s cut.

In the prehistoric past, a young man struggles to return home after being separated from his tribe during a buffalo hunt. He finds a similarly lost wolf and starts a friendship that would change humanity. Nobody knows for sure how the first domesticated dog came to be, but this was a good attempt at showing one of the possible ways it could have happened. A thoroughly enjoyable family film.

In my opinion, a very realistic portrayal of the challenges for survival faced by humans 20,000 years ago. Great action, computer animation well blended into live action scenes. Great family oriented tale of how the close relationship with future man's best friend may have evolved.

Ok, so theres going to be some subtitles to this film as you are watching early man struggle, and basically the origin story of the domesticated dog (in the eyes of fantacy). Its a visual masterpiece regardless of the budget and I LOVED this film.. Go for it!

I like this cause of the honor between his father & him?, for his son to be left for dead and come alive , survive, & fight with all his heart and remembering the way his father taught him, making friends and getting home.

I was not expecting very much of this to start with, but I was very impressed. It is a really good story. Classic story of the boy and his dog. Twist the first story of how many and dog first came together.

My wife and I were able to see this movie in our local movie theater and were happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and we are looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

The movie looked interesting early on, but then when we started to watch it I was throw by the subtitles but there wasn't much. The story unfolds and it turned out much better then I thought. Loved it.

Alpha is a great movie. It is set in the early caveman time and is a great coming of age movie. The boy Keda has to learn to take care of himself after an accident leaves him on his own.

Total survival movie. The bond that can be between a wild animal and human. We really enjoyed this movie and it's on our favorites list. Can't wait to watch it again. Thank You!!!

This is an excellent story about a young Neanderthal boy forming a bond with a wolf. Not at all historically accurate but very entertaining. I highly recommend this film

Good movie about the human and wolf relationship that led to a historical companionship. I would liked it in 4K but it is available in 4K online at apps such as Vudu.

A mishap for the Boy and the Tribe has to leave him.He recovers and strives to make it home .Along the way he makes the worlds first pet Dog[Wolf].Nice scenery throughout.

Alpha was a sleeper hit of a film. I wish I had seen it in theaters, but it looks spectacular on Blu-ray. I wish it was a 4K release, but alas, this is highly recommended.

We did not get the opportunity to see this movie in the theater. Even though it was sub-titled, I thought it was a great movie. Our dog actually watched it with me!

This is one outstanding movie especially if you enjoy beautiful outdoor scenery. The story is a classic one of coming of age and the relationship between boy and dog.

This is a movie that my husband picked up. He looks at the movies in the store but never buys them. I was surprised that he wanted this but very happy

it was a pretty cool movie with a good story the only thing that I was a little disappointed with was it was not in English so you have to read the subtitles.
