This receiver completely transformed my driving experience. The screen is bright and responsive, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work flawlessly. Bluetooth connects quickly every time, and the sound quality is excellent. Installation was straightforward, and the ultra-shallow design made it fit perfectly in my vehicle. Navigation, music, and hands-free calling are all much more convenient now. Great performance, reliable connectivity, and outstanding value. I bought this based off reviews from another website and kind of wish I hadn’t. I was drawn to it to pair it with the Alpine power pack 4ch amp that goes with it thinking it would produce better sound and snappier menus than my old KENWOOD. It’s definitely a downgrade from the old unit. The screen is capacitive but lower resolution. It blacks out every time I use my turn signal. My subwoofer cuts out randomly and often. Bass doesn’t start until moderately high volume. Other than the sub, sound quality is on par with the old KENWOOD. I don’t think the 770M would be any better since the only difference in specs is wireless CarPlay and an extra camera input. My bass issue may be an install issue but I doubt it. The sub and speakers are brand new Alpine (PWE-S8-WRA/SPV-65X-WRA) and worked perfect with the old head unit. I installed it myself but I have over 20 years of car electronics installation experience.

It has worked incredibly well, the install bay guys know what they’re doing and install it perfectly. Works great with my previously installed sound system, CarPlay works extremely well

Had to return this product. I usually love alpine but this one no. Screen would black out randomly. Size was smaller than advertised due to the buttons taking up space at the bottom.

This was to replace the faulty OEM radio for my Jeep Renegade. This Alpine is smaller than what it may seem. Plus, I thought that I had done my due diligence to ensure like for like similarity. Two major drawbacks: 1. This radio only remains powered on while the vehicle is also powered on. In other words, you cannot just be in or around your vehicle and allow the stereo to be used. 2. It does not allow for wireless Android Auto. It must be plugged in.' I'm super disappointed in this purchase decision but already paid money for the installation. So I'm kind of stuck.
