Compact, strong and sturdy build, powerful enough for any setting, convenient clip to hang on a bag when on the go, OK battery life. Fair price for a reliable portable speaker.

Great speaker with only minor flaws

After using my Altec Lansing HydraJolt Everything Proof Speaker for several weeks, I am very happy with my purchase. The speaker seems to be very durable and, in my opinion, has excellent and balanced sound. I didn't buy the speaker for the available light effects, but I have to say that I am enjoying this feature. The battery life is good so far. I only have two small complaints. The ring for the carabiner clip is too small to get the clip on in a way that makes it easy to clip the speaker to something else. The power and other buttons are a bit stiff and take some force to operate.

Unrivaled sound Durable design

An amazing sounding Bluetooth speaker,they are imperious to all elements, I have traveled with it through 5 tours in 8 different countries, it's light weight & smaller size offers you a compact but theater quality sound when you pair it with a matching speaker, the price point makes buying 2 units more affordable than 1 of another comparable unit the lights are nice too..!

Very good sound quality & volume for it's size. Also good battery life. My one criticism is that, because the buttons are recessed in smallish indentations, they are a little difficult to press, especially if you have large fingers.

I purchased this as a replacement for an earlier Altec Lansing speaker that was 5 years old. This one is slightly bigger and the sound is incredible for the size. They also added colored lights that pulsate to the music for a nice effect. I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy it again.

Battery life and sound are both good. Plan on taking it on the golf course. I’m not worried about it’s durability or exposure to a passing shower

Great little speaker

I have bought several of the Altec Lansing Lufejacket speakers for gifts and they have always been appreciated. My daughter got one 5 years ago that she still takes camping or to the lake and it works great. Small size with good sound, easy connectivity, and handles bumps. Drops, and splashes with no problems.

Good piece at this price point. Battery life seems to be good and sound quality nice for my application. I use this for external speakers for my tablet and cell phone to get more volume, mainly podcasts. Would buy another if I needed one.

Amazingly Loud and Tough Little Speaker - Love It!

I have purchased over the years various bluetooth speakers and they all just are not loud enough. This Altec Lansing speaker really puts out the volume. I have had multiple friends ask where I got it and what brand is it. Ive also used it in the woods to broadcast audio from a ghost box while ghost hunting and it has held up well to rough usage in wet environments here in the Pacific Northwest.

Liked the first Altec Lansing speaker so much, I bought a second one. It took a bit to get them to pair. Sound quality for these relatively low cast speakers was really good. Handles stereo seperation, midrange and bass well. High treble is better than average.
