A: I set up the one that I purchased for my mother with many individual folders for events ( eg. Family Christmas 2017, Williamsburg family vacation, etc. ) When I go into a single folder and start the slideshow, it will continually cycle through all of the photos and automatically restart. If you choose the random setting, when it restarts, the pictures will be in a different sequence than the first time around. Regarding just starting it up and letting it automatically go to slideshow, if random is chosen, it will randomly jump from folder to folder mixing up the pictures. I cannot say if it does actually recycle there because I loaded over 700 photos into 32 separate folders. and haven't watched long enough to see all of them. Because it does recycle when viewing an individual folder, I would presume that it does the same for the whole library. The one thing I did notice is that it will always start with the same photo, but the randomization after that is always different. It works the same way with music that is loaded on it.
A: I had this same issue, and it was one of my few complaints about the frame. For the slideshow to repeat, we had to switch the slideshow repeat option to "off" - that didn't seem very intuitive to us, but it worked.
A: No, I transferred from a regular Microsoft computer using the supplied USB port. Very easy to use!
Q: Is the frame wood or plastic, please? thank you
A: The frame is made out of plastic.
Q: Can this display be set up in portrait mode?
A: From how I understand how it's built, it can only be orientated in landscape. It wouldn't be able to stand otherwise.
Q: What video formats will it take
A: This frame will accept MP4 videos.
A: Yes, it has the option for random display. This function even works if you have uploaded more that one file/folder of photos - it will select randomly from both.
Q: How many pictures does it hold
A: I cannot recall the storage, I gave it as a gift. However, it can take a USB so literally 1000s of pictures.

Photo viewer
It seems to be a little harder to transfer photos from your phone to the unit then told I wish it was able to except the IPhone cord and transfer it that easy music options the same pic looks great seems to have everything else that you want along with a decent price point for the options just trying to get them to work

Good for price
Surprisingly decent display for the price! This is a gift for my mother (not techy at all) . Controls seem easy enough with remote. Loaded with pictures for her. Love the built in memory as well. Only downside is some transfers don't "take" as they should. Images display, but with weird color grids. Other than that I am satisfied with product, as I'm sure my mother will be a well

Does Not Display Photo's from my phone properly
There NO service or updates for this frame. DO NOT BUY THIS! SEE THE PICTURE FOR DETAILS ABOUT NOT DISPLAYING PROPERLY. You can see the 4 lines through the pic.
