Customer Ratings & Reviews

It's seriously stylish and incredibly effective! I mean, just look at it – it's like a little piece of modern art for my home! And the best part? It's not just a pretty face – the performance is top-notch too. The sound quality is amazing, and Alexa is like my personal assistant, always ready to help with anything I need. Whether I'm playing music, setting reminders, or controlling my smart home devices, the Echo Dot handles it all with ease. Honestly, it's the perfect combination of style and functionality – I'm totally obsessed!

I've had this Echo Dot for a few months now and it's been awesome. I put it in near kitchen and the sound is way clearer and louder than I expected for something so small. It's super handy for setting quick timers while cooking, checking the weather in the morning, and turning off my smart lights by voice. The microphones are great too—it hears me from across the room without me having to yell. The only tiny downside is the bass gets a bit distorted if you max out the volume, but for everyday music and voice commands, it's perfect.

Starting out with a few caveats: 1) no smart speaker / voice assistant is perfect, 2) many people have their preferred ecosystem, and 3) when that ecosystem fails, the grass is greener on the other side. With that being said, in my own opinion, Alexa currently beats Google hands down when controlling smart devices (though Google reigns for integrating its services like search, calendar, photos, etc). I had grown less and less pleased with my Google Hubs over the years, and long story short, I was eventually gifted an Echo Show. I was so impressed with its ability to handle my various smart devices when Google was failing to do so correctly, that I eventually decided to purchase more Echo devices, including this Echo Dot. This device does not disappoint. First off, the sound quality. Though this is a small device, it packs a punch. Bass is decent and song audio via Spotify is clear. Audiophiles may gripe about sound quality that isn't 100% perfect from a small smart speaker, but for the average user, streaming sound quality from this device is good enough, if not great. It's easy enough to pair into whole-house audio with other Echo speakers, but on its own it still gets the job done decently. The only drawback is the 5th gen Echo Dot lacks an aux port that the 4th gen had, but hey, if we're comparing this to a Google Nest Mini, Google doesn't use aux ports at all. Voice recognition when speaking to Alexa is decent - again, no smart assistant is perfect, and errors in communication do happen, but they appear to be relatively few on this device all things considered. My biggest complaint would be the "By the way, would you like me to blah blah blah..." additions Alexa occasionally tacks onto responses, with no real way to disable them in the app. When listening to voice commands and responding, the Dot will glow blue at the base. When your Amazon account and device settings are set up correctly, this light turns yellow to let you know you have a package delivery notification. Despite not subscribing to Prime and ordering infrequently from Amazon, I still find this quite useful. Overall I think this is a decent device, and outpaces Google in many aspects. It goes on sale pretty often so I wouldn't recommend paying full price for this unless you absolutely need to, but you wouldn't have buyers remorse if you did.

I recently purchased the Amazon Echo Dot and it has exceeded my expectations. It's a great example of smart technology that has been simplified to perform a single, specific task in a time when smart technology may sometimes seem overwhelming. The combination of a high-tech watch and Alexa's brainpower has made my regular tasks much more manageable and enjoyable. The Echo Dot adapts easily to my needs, whether I'm setting an alarm to gently wake me up in the morning or just listening to my favorite music. This smart speaker has seamlessly integrated into my life at home and become an essential tool. The Echo Dot with clock has undeniably merited its five-star rating for its top-notch functionality, sleek design, and helpful contribution to today's simplified lifestyle.

Perfect! I needed a small speaker for a nightstand. It needed to connect to the TV so a senior woman could hear the tv without needing to always wear hearing aids. It has a great sound, connects easily and syncs speech quickly.

I recently started using the Alexa Echo Dot, and I have to say I’m really impressed. Despite its small size, the sound is clear and surprisingly powerful. I love how easy it was to set up and how intuitive it is to use. I can control the lights in my home, play music, ask for the weather, or set reminders, all with just my voice. It’s like having a personal assistant at hand all the time, and it has made daily tasks so much easier. Definitely a great purchase!

I love this in my kitchen. I use it to help set timers when i am cooking and have a lot of distractions going on. When i get up to make my morning coffee i ask her for the weather, top highlights for the day, then I play music on it to help set my mood. The speakers are good quality. No static or distortion that sometimes happens with smaller devices. I would definitely recommend. Very versatile and can do so many functions. Pairs easily with other smart devices in the home to give you voice control over those items as well. I did wait until it was on sale. They seem to have sales prices on the echoes fairly often so definitely worth the price.

The sound quality of this compact smart speaker is remarkable, especially considering its affordable price. Alexa's voice comes through crisp and clear, making it a fantastic addition to any room without compromising on audio performance.Whether I need to check the time at a glance, set timers, or get real-time weather updates, the LED display proves to be a handy feature. The device seamlessly integrates into my daily routine, and the Glacier White finish adds a touch of elegance to its design. Recommend it！

It’s been a little over a year since I’ve owned the echo dot Generation 5. It’s worth the purchase because it could literally do a lot of things for you when convenience comes to mind. The speaker’s on the Echo Dot is more superb and nice to listen to music. The Alexa commands are just as good which I like. Also can set timers schedules, reminders, and everything else if you need things done right away instead of pulling out your phone every time. If you don’t want to spend too much money, it’s sometimes go on sale for around $30. You can’t beat that for the price.

Súper cute, super fit on every side in your office, In your home, and the sound is great. Super recommended !!!

This Alexa is a versatile and user friendly Smart assistant, making it a best fit for smart home, system, if you have smart bulbs and lights or mote than two alexas, it would give you more advance experience of dolby sound by connecting all yhe alexa at same time and woth surround sound system.amazing.

Easy to connect and Alexa understands me when I speak like I’m talking to an actual person. She even understands my slang talk which Siri can never understand or hold a conversation. I’ll be adding several more to my network around the house, because I never realized just how much I actually use Alexa which is much easier than grabbing my phone to Google a question or anything basically.

The speaker delivers clear and crisp sound quality, making it great for playing music, making calls, or listening to podcasts. It also has a built-in temperature sensor and can control smart home devices like lights, thermostats, and security cameras. The Echo Dot 5th gen can be controlled using voice commands or through the Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet, giving you convenient control over your smart home devices from anywhere. One downside to the Echo Dot 5th gen is that it lacks a built-in smart home hub, so you'll need to purchase a separate hub if you want to connect certain devices. Additionally, while the sound quality is impressive for a small speaker, it may not be sufficient for those who are looking for high-fidelity audio. Overall, the Amazon Echo Dot 5th generation is a versatile and affordable smart speaker that is perfect for those who are looking to incorporate smart home technology into their lives. Its sound quality, design, and ease of use make it a great choice for anyone who wants to stay connected and in control of their smart home devices.

I love my new cool looking Alexa. It has a great speaker to play music. It fits perfectly in my small studio. Unlike other Alexa products, this one doesn’t respond by normal household sounds (people taking, tv on) like my previous one.

Honestly, I'm really impressed with Alexa. I've had her for a while now, and she's been a total game-changer for me. I mean, being able to control my lights and thermostat with just my voice is super convenient. It's amazing how much easier it makes my daily routine. I can just walk into a room and say 'Alexa, turn on the lights' and voilà! It's like having my own personal assistant. And the music integration is seamless - I can just ask her to play my favorite tunes and she's on it. She's got access to so many different music services, which is awesome. I've discovered some new artists and genres that I never would have found otherwise. One thing I love about Alexa is how smart she is. She responds quickly to what I say, and she's always learning and adapting to my preferences. It's impressive how well she understands me, even when I'm speaking quickly or with a bit of background noise. Overall, I'm really happy with Alexa. She's made my life a lot easier, and I feel like I'm getting more and more out of her all the time. If you're thinking about getting one, I'd definitely recommend it

Sometimes I have to repeat commands. I love that it connects with my Ring doorbell and announces detections at my front door. I wish it played music louder.

I got this for my 12 year old son for his birthday and he loves it! He can listen to music, ask Alexa anything you want which is kinda cool and he can also control his Govee lights with it. Great shopping experience with you guys, couldn't have been easier. Thank you Best Buy

It has been very useful to me, it is small, it does not take up much space and the sound is perfect.

Works likes my old Echo Dot and sounds good. Sphere shaped instead of hockey puck design.

I love the sound quality. The voice recognition feature is great as it understand commands accurately. It is also able to connect with other Echo devices for different functions.
