I just bought my tablet 1 month ago. I was a little leary about buying it, I did research on it and saw many positive things about it, also a not good review as well. So I decided to go buy it. Wow. I was truly surprise, being that I'm use to Samsung and Apple. I feel this tablet is a B+ for the price. Clear, big, the color is nice. I do all the things I want to do at a reasonable price. I'm going to buy my granddaughter one. The sound is pretty decent to. I like this product. I also bought the tablet cover to match.

Great tablet at great price! I got three so far, one for me and the other two for gifts. I have had an original Fire, two HD 8.9s, a HD 7, two HDX 7s, a fifth generation HD 10, five HD 8s and three new HD 10s so far for me and gifts. The new HD 10 is of course the best of all. It has more space for apps and dada, more memory, better screen and faster cpu than the old version. And what makes it even better is it is a lot cheaper! After installing Google Play Store, I could install all apps that I use with no problem, and all the apps work great. It has good enough stereo speakers and decent battery life in my opinion. And it is light for its size. Even though I am not a native English speaker, Alexa understands very well and gives me accurate answers. You can ask or wake Alexa by only calling her name without touching any key. That is a big advantage over other models. I have Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 10.1 and LG Gpad X 8.0. New HD 10 is faster than those tablets. Only option that I miss from those tablets is screen mirroring function. But I can still cast screen using Google Chromecast stick. I think new HD 10 is a great media taking machine. I love to watch movies, to browse internet and to look at photos with this great tablet. It can also be an excellent digital photo frame with Amazon Photo app. I really appreciate Amazon for making this awesome tablet for such a great price, and I highly recommend it to anyone who are shopping for tablets.

I have been an Amazon Prime member for quite a while but had never seriously considered buying a Fire tablet. But the new 10" HD tablet changed my mind. It is big enough for serious work but light enough to still carry around. The features are great - HD video, very responsive touch screen, sufficient built-in memory, long battery life, outstanding set of apps. But the extras are what take it beyond other 10" tablets. First, it has hands-free Alexa. No need to touch the tablet, just ask Alexa anything you want and it responds. Great for shopping and checking the weather, sports scores, simple fact questions, etc. Next, the Bluetooth connection is solid and permits the use of wireless earbuds to listen to music or audiobooks. Very nice built-in speakers make watching Netflix or Amazon Prime very enjoyable. The Kindle feature works fine - very easy to read any book you download. Two small issues - neither due to the tablet - are that Amazon charges way too much for their branded cover (so you have to shop for a generic equivalent and wait for delivery) and the cost of a glass screen protector to fit the tablet is a bit high. But putting those issues aside, the 10" Fire HD tablet is certainly an outstanding value that will give you great service! If you see one on sale - grab it!!!

If you're looking for a decent large screen tablet and don't want to spend iPad or Galaxy Tab money then this is a pretty good alternative to those. Decent build quality with a 1080 HD screen, AC dual band Wi-Fi, 32 or 64 gb of storage and a memory card slot. This is an absolute no brainer purchase if you're an Amazon Prime member with access to their almost endless supply of content. While the Fire HD 10 puts Amazon content front and center with their Amazon App Store it was very easy to add Google Play Store to the tab for access to all of Google's apps and services which really turns it into a great value proposition without spending a fortune. Tablet was pretty zippy, no lags or stutters using apps or games. Videos loaded and played quickly with no problems. Internet browsing was fast. All in all while the Fire HD 10 is certainly no Apple iPad Pro 10.5 or Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 but it costs hundreds of dollars less than those two. For a starting price of $149 for the 32gb model this is certainly a terrific value for a large screen tablet without breaking your budget.

Purchased this as a early birthday gift for my wife, and she and I both love it. It's very fast, the 1080p screen looks GREAT with good color saturation. Not too heavy, very thin, and the Punch Red color looks great too. You can't go wrong with this one, and if you miss the Google App store, it took me about 15 minutes to install it after watching a Youtube video. Don't buy the iPad unless you have to, save some money, get this and a 32GB or 64GB micro SD card and you'll be set for a few years! Almost forgot, battery life is about 8-10 hours, WOW!

This is my family's 5th Kindle over the past 8 or so years. My wife has had 3 and currently on the Fire HD 8 from last year. She never goes anywhere without it. This new HD 10 is for my son (9yrs old) to replace his older children's Fire version. The children's version is fine, but you basically have to pay $8/mo for FreeTime on top of the bloated cost for a slimmed down Fire HD. We can still control content on his HD 10 and at $150 it is SO worth it. Great screen, easy to figure out (my 5 yr old uses it, so if you cannot that is a "you" problem), and tougher than the weak iPads that cost 3x as much.

If, you are looking for a "big" screened tablet with expandable memory and decent performance, then this is the tablet for you, especially if you are integrated into the amazon ecosystem. BTW Alexa is a joy to use.

Being a budget shopper, I had purchased a consigned product for my daughter that looked great but was slow and not capable of all the tasks an 8 yr old put it through. Now, after 2 YEARS of looking, waiting, not finding a product that both of us liked, we have a gem! This item is surprisingly not in the well trafficed area of the store and would have been overlooked if I had not been searching each aisle. After resistance from my daughter (now 10) who wanted a phone size device, I purchased this with the understanding that we would return it if she wasn't happy with it. Now, a month later, we both are thrilled with the size of storage, the speed, the user friendly features, and, yes, the size. She says that she is glad I made her get something bigger than a phone to do her homework/games/reading/Musically videos on. And, with it's beautiful muted blue color, it stands out from other devices for decreased risk of it being "borrowed" by someone. I'm thrilled with this product.
