A: Hello Kimber! Applications downloaded on Fire HD tablets must come from the Amazon Appstore. Files may also be downloaded directly from the web browser, Silk. Parental restrictions may be placed on child profiles to eliminate any unwanted access or downloading. If more space is needed, storage can be increased up to 1TB with a micro SD card. A: Hi Angie! The Fire HD 8 Kids Edition works about the same as other tablets, where holding down on the power button will bring up the options to turn off or reset the tablet, while a short press will lock it. I wouldn't say it's too easy to accidentally turn it off, the case that it comes with keeps the buttons in a bit of a recess so they're unlikely to press it down just holding the tablet, but there is no way to disable the power button functionality completely.
