Customer Ratings & Reviews

Really impressed with how lightweight and comfortable this Kindle is to use. The screen is easy on the eyes, battery life lasts a long time, and the green color looks great in person. Perfect for reading at night, traveling, or carrying multiple books without extra weight. Very happy with the purchase.

I’ve been using this Kindle for a few weeks and really enjoy how lightweight and comfortable it is to hold. The 300 ppi display makes text crisp and easy on my eyes, and the front-light works great indoors or in sunlight. I love having 16 GB of storage so I can carry a huge library without worry. The Matcha color is a nice aesthetic touch. My main complaint: it lacks waterproofing and warm-light filter that higher models have — so I’m a little cautious reading in the bath or late at night. Overall, a solid pick for everyday reading at a good value.

[Employee of bestbuy] This Kindle model is fantastic for anyone who just wants a reliable e-reader. Even with the lower storage size, it still holds thousands of books, which is more than enough for most readers. The screen quality is identical to the higher-end version, with the only real difference being that it’s not flush with the bezel. The battery life is also impressive—I haven’t had to charge mine yet, and it truly lasts a week or more. Unless you’re after a sleeker look or plan to read color-heavy books and comics, this Kindle is the perfect choice—lightweight, easy to use, and excellent for everyday reading.

I haven't used many E readers in my life, but I have to say, the ease of use and the size of this really make it a fantastic product. Battery life lasts so long I forget to charge it, I think its been about two weeks of use so far. The screen is nice to look at, especially at night, and doesnt disturb others around you.

I got a Kindle thinking I’d read a little more before bed… and now I’m up at 2–3 AM telling myself “okay, this is the last chapter” (it’s never the last chapter). It’s super light, easy to hold with one hand, and way more comfortable than juggling a big book. The screen actually feels nice on the eyes too — no glare, no headache, just reading. Battery life is kind of insane like my life . Honestly, didn’t expect much when I bought it, but now I use it every day.

I recently upgraded to the Kindle Gen 11, and it has transformed my reading experience in the best ways possible. One of the standout features is the ability to set the book cover of my current read as the screensaver. This personalized touch constantly reminds me of the adventure waiting to unfold with each chapter. The Kindle Gen 11 also provides an immersive reading experience, often giving me a euphoric "reader's high" as I get lost in the story. The sleek and lightweight design makes it easy to carry around, allowing me to read comfortably anywhere. Its responsiveness and fast navigation make for a seamless reading experience, while the exceptional battery life means I can enjoy uninterrupted reading for weeks. The customizable settings, including adjustable font sizes and styles, make reading effortless and tailored to my preferences. The brightness settings, especially the ability to read in the dark, have been a game-changer, allowing me to read anytime, anywhere without straining my eyes. Additionally, having access to a vast library through the Kindle Unlimited Store ensures I always have something new and exciting to read. The add-ons I've added, like the stylish cover and protective screen, not only enhance the appearance but also offer great protection. Overall, the Kindle Gen 11 has exceeded my expectations, blending technology and literature to offer a perfect reading companion. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their reading journey.

This kindle has changed my life! Before my kindle, I’d occasionally read a paper book from barnes and nobles. I’ve always enjoyed reading, but I found it hard to find time and motivation to read. Sine having my kindle, I’ve read 8 books in two months! It makes it so much fun to read, and I love that it’s so portable and cute. I can take it anywhere, and can read in the sun or in the dark in bed without any problems. I also like that theres no notifications or distractions- I can easily get so lost in a book! Pro tip: if you have a library card, you can use the Libby app on your phone to check out digital books and send them to your kindle library for free. Absolute game changer! The battery also lasts for months. I do wish it was waterproof and had warm light, but it’s not a deal breaker. The biggest issue is that it comes with ads on the lock screen. I ended up caving and paying the extra $20 to remove them. If you just want a good basic kindle, this is the device for you. Check out the other kindles (scribe, paperwhite, colorsoft) to see which is the best fit for you. Overall- I absolutely adore my Kindle and it’s changed my relationship with reading. Highly recommend.

The Kindle delivers a highly polished and distraction-free reading experience. The screen quality is excellent for long reading sessions, with crisp text and comfortable lighting. Performance is smooth, storage is more than sufficient for an extensive library, and battery life meets expectations for daily use. Overall, it is a reliable and well-executed device that fully delivers on its core purpose.

This is my first Kindle. I used to read on my iPad and phone through the Kindle app. I decided to get one and went through so many video reviews on TikTok. I landed on this Kindle mostly because of the size and weight. Boy am I glad I chose this Kindle. It's lighter than my phone. The size is perfect. I can easily carry it with me anywhere I go. I cannot get enough of how light it is.

Just to preface, this is my first kindle. I have an iPad Mini but always stuggled to focus on reading on the tablet and it would always overheat while reading outdoors. I did alot of research on both the basic and ppw. I ended up getting the basic and am very happy with my choice. The e-ink is very easy on the eyes and it also has dark mode. The matcha green is a very pretty color. The interface is easy to use. It is lightweight and the size is perfect to fit in my handbag for on the go reading. Only feature missing is a waterproof version! In the box: kindle, USB C charging cable and quick start guide THINGS TO NOTE: this is a ad supported device. On the lockscreen it shows recommended books. It can be removed by amazon for a one time fee. However it doesnt really bother me. To sum it up, i would highly recommend this kindle to anyone who wants something lightweight, portable and distracted free reading! I included some pics of the kindle alongside a Moto G 5G for size comparsion, lowest brightness, medium and highest.. with dark mode and what the quick settings look like :)

Let me start by saying that I own a kindle colorsoft & I only decided to buy a basic so that I can have a smaller device to carry to work. After using it for three days, I fell in love with it. I reach for it more than I do my colorsoft . The hugest selling point for me is the size . The kindle basic fits soo comfortably In my hand, any of my purses , & even the back pocket of my jeans. Now I will say that the advertisement of the battery lasting 6 weeks may vary from person to person. I read daily for hours & I can probably get about three and a half weeks out of one charge. I’m personally okay with that but it’s just something to think of. Happy reading !!!

This kindle is the best purchase i’ve made in a while. It’s lightweight and easy to fit in my purses or even my sweatpants pocket! The battery lasts me a little over a week because i read a lot and the screen is easy on my eyes. I recommend getting this kindle

OK when I say this is a must buy if you like to read books but don’t have a whole bunch of space to store actual books you can store thousands of books in this Kindle if you travel a lot, this is so much more convenient than logging around books especially if you’re reading multiple at once the Matcha color is really cute. It’s small and handy easy to throw in your purse and if you buy clear cases, you can decorate the back of it. It’s truly one of my favorite things that I bought this year.

It charges super fast and the battery lasts for a very long time. I have had it for 6 months and have only had to charge it a couple of times. Its page refresh is great. I have this and a paperwhite. I leave my paperwhite at home and use this in my purse. If this was waterproof I would just buy two of these, I like the compact size of this vs. the paperwhite. And the color is so pretty!

I bought this as a gift for my fiancee. She said for her first time with an e-reader she’s obsessed. She loves that it is light weight and fits in almost every purse she owns even small hand bags. She loves that the light doesn’t hurt her eyes when reading and hasn't had any issues using it. The only thing she cam across was that she had to google how to leave the book and go back to library which was a simple tap to the top of the screen. She said she rates it 5 stars and is obsessed with it. The battery life last like a whole week. Im thinking about getting myself one! I didn't know it came with 3 months on kindle unlimited which was a big added perk. Overall it great gif and gave me big brownie points with my fiancee so its a win in my book!

I’m a first-time Kindle user, and I’m so glad I gave it a try. Lightweight, stylish, and easy on the eyes—this Kindle is perfect for night reading in bed. The Matcha color adds a calm, cozy vibe I didn’t know I needed.

Bought this as a gift for the wife and she loves it! She loves it is easy to navigate, size and overall performance.

Great e reader, it's a perfect pocket size, doesn't hurt my hand to hold it while lying down. I've never used any other e reader than kindles and this one is my favorite of the few I've had. Definitely recommend for anyone who gets hand cramps or with arthritis, you can change font size super easily and this one seems to be speedier than my last kindle with great battery life. Photo of Kindle next to a roku remote for size reference.

I jumped multiple generations when I recently purchased this kindle. I was stunned with how much of an improvement it was compared to my old decive. The bscklight is more than adequate for low light areas, plus the lack of glare makes it a breeze to use in full light. Easy to set up and get started. Overall I recommend this device for any reader who's on the go or looking to always have their library on hand.

Love this e-reader device. It is small but feels sturdy and is great to hold. The contrast is excellent and ready is a joy. This is my secpnd kindle as I already have the 11th gen paperwhite signature but needed something even more portable. This fits my needs and was a great purchase. Highly reccomended.
