I upgraded from a Kindle Oasis and the Colorsoft is my go to reading device! The color is such an upgrade in my reading experience. The battery lasts at least 2 weeks with my daily reading and the kindle is overall faster than my previous device. I would highly recommend it to any reader who just wants the added benefit of the color with their reading experience!

Great upgrade if you're looking to read colored manga or manwa. Same format all kindles are in so it's easy to navigate. I'm coming from the gen 10 that was running a little slow, so if you're looking for a kindle with color I totally recommend this one or the 16gb one. I do want to inform that the colored comics take up more space than normal books, so keep that in mind if your plan is to read manga exclusively

The kindle arrived in great condition. Luckily my kindle does not have the yellow band that others complained with this model. The colors are not bright like a regular tablet, which is totally fine! I like the comic book type of coloring. Listening to audiobooks is a lot more clear without the constant skips that I normally get from my PW 12. This is definitely my go to for audiobooks, graphic novels and comics. All in all, I like this colorsoft kindle. Ohh the discount was awesome!! Keep it going!

Love the color covers & highlights. Great to take on the go. Battery tends to go quicker than the paperwhite, but I do read on max brightness and several hours a day. Haven’t had any issues with yellowing.

I feel like a lot of these reviews are too harsh. This is the first gen color ereader that Amazon made of course there’s gonna be problems, but not to the extent that all these reviews are putting out. I really like this device and so far it’s the best color ereader that I own. The speed is great and quality of the device pretty good. I do have the yellow banding, but it’s really hard to notice for me unless I’m trying to look for it plus my brightness is always halfway. I’ve had this device since November and the battery is already on 75%. My only complaint that I have is that it is not the best with responding to my finger swipes. If you’re swiping, you have to have a certain amount of pressure for it to recognize that you want to turn the page or go to the settings. However, if you tap the device is very responsive. Overall, I think is a great device with its size and comfort since it’s basically the kindle signature edition with color. I definitely recommend it if you have the money splurge and you want your books in color.

I am so obsessed with my Colorsoft. Seeing not just the book covers or colored illustrations that some authors include. But the color highlights are a game changer. The battery last way better than the Kindle Oasis.

I absolutely love my kindle colorsoft. I know this kindle had a lot of negative reviews especially because of the yellow tint at the bottom but honestly it isn't the noticeable and it goes away with time. I love having my books in color and love how fast it is.

It was a Christmas gift for my 13-year-old daughter and she is absolutely obsessed with it. Carries it around. Everywhere talks about the lighting the color contrast.

Best kindle I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned a lot! Going all the way back to the kindle keyboard, I have bought and used nearly every iteration of the kindle. They were all missing color! Which probably doesn’t mean very much if you’re only reading black and white text books but if you want to appreciate charts, graphs or photos inside books or if you read manga, comics, graphic novels, there really is no better way to do it than the color soft.

Awesome specs and easy to read!! I honestly bought kindle paperwhite back on 2018 and it was okay until I found kindle colorsoft. I also been thinking for a long time if i should buy this or the newly releases paper white. Thankfuly a lot of people leave a review and made me buy the colorsoft instead! 100 percent recommend!!

I've had the Oasis for years now. I love it and honestly had no interest in ever upgrading. Then the Colorsoft existed! It took me a while, but I finally decided to try it out. I love it. I wish it was a little smaller, but besides that it checks every box and the color is AMAZING!

I updated from the 11th generation Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. And if you are someone who likes to highlight when you read and like have a different color for different things when you’re reading a book it makes it easier then just having it grey when you’re highlighting.

It is perfect!! I absolutely love it!! Its the perfect size and the color is nice.Not super bright on the eyes but still pretty!I would and have recommended this!!

I have one of the first Kindle edition and it’s great, but having one with color is amazing. Love it.

I’ll start with the positives. It’s the first kindle with color and it’s the fastest kindle made… however… make sure to manage expectations about ANY color ebook reader for the fact that they will be less clear/grainy due to the color filter. My eyes are sensitive to resolutions and clarity on tv’s computer monitors, etc, so it’s something that definitely doesn’t look as appealing to me. From a normal reading distance though, it’s not too bad. Compared to the traditional black and white kindle paper white, the overall brightness of the colorsoft is lower because of the added color layer and the overall hue is more blue. It feels closer to a dim LCD screen in certain brightness settings. If you primarily read black and white text, stick with the paperwhite. The color covers are nice to see, but the rest of the tradeoffs aren’t worth it. For the biggest negative that’s all over the news right now… I’ve tried two different colorsofts and both have had the infamous yellow banding issue at the bottom and sides of the display.

I love my new Kindle Colorsoft. I like having the ability to read my magazines in color and seeing all the book covers in color! I do use it nonstop, so the battery doesn’t last as long as they say it should. It’s not a big deal to me to plug it in overnight when I am asleep if I have to. I am definitely happy with my purchase!

Despite the initial launch issues, ive thoroughly enjoyed the new colorosoft. The yellowing doesnt bother me much as it fades away when i start reading ans has a nice feel in the hands. Once the new replacements are out, i think itll be a great device for anyone who wants color eink.

Slight yellow discoloration at the bottom of the Kindle. I’m hoping for a I’m hoping for an upgrade to fix. But I read in dark mode, so it’s not really visible. The battery doesn’t last as long as my paperwhite. But, I love seeing my book covers in color!

It’s great. The screen is clear and bright. The UI is just ok. The response is a little slow but nothing detrimental. Definitely a great E- reader
