Leather cover that ages quickly but in a good way

This was the only choice I could find for my new color kindle. Fit and function is great but know that the leather cover will quickly look like it was dragged behind wild horses. Rustic is a great way to describe how quickly it becomes. Has zero impact on form and function just appearance. I got over it and actually like it now.

On the fence.

I'm on the fence about this case. I love the color and the look of the leather panels on the front and the back--they seem very real, feel soft and great, and start realistically aging from the moment I got it. It fits perfectly, as you'd expect from an Amazon branded case. The magnet is tight and the Kindle starts up instantly when I open the case. What I don't like is that it's a little less comfortable than the less fancy and bulkier case I had on my last Kindle. The hard plastic edges don't feel great, it's not particularly comfortable in my hand, and the magnet is so strong that it takes to hands to open. And it's pretty pricey, though I guess not so bad if it's real leather--and it seems to be real or a very convincing fake.

Soft and comfortable to hold new Paperwhite while reading, honestly one my favorite cases. It does patina over time so if your not into that might want to look at fabric case.

Great look, poor hold

Looks great, but doesn't hold the kindle unless you hold the cover tight. if you were laying or sitting down to read the kindle will slip down and out of the cover. not a deal breaker, but it would be nice if it locked into place

The Kindle Colorsoft Premium Leather Case is designed with a snap-in frame that holds the device firmly in place — so if you're finding that your Kindle is slipping out, it's worth double-checking a couple of things that may help:
Verify device compatibility – This case is specifically designed for the Kindle Colorsoft and Kindle Paperwhite (2024 release only). If the case is being used with a different Kindle model or generation, it may not snap securely into place as intended. Please confirm that your Kindle model matches the case's compatibility listed on the packaging or product page.
Check the snap-in connection – When inserting the device, make sure all four corners are firmly pressed into the case frame until you feel or hear them click into place. If one or more corners aren't fully seated, the device may feel loose.

Do not expect this to last.

For being called premium leather, it will fall short. It will scratch easily and the edges will fray early. Otherwise the texture does feel nice.
