The case is great quality and waterproof but shouldn’t cost almost $40.

Perfect case / cover for the paper white. Feels like it protects the device well and easily folds over when reading. Great too that when done reading you just fold back to turn the device off. Feel like it is really a must have for the Kindle.

Picked this up with the Colorsoft and it’s exactly what we needed. It snaps on easily and feels secure without adding much bulk, which was important since she throws it in her bag and takes it everywhere. The fabric has a nice grip to it and doesn’t feel slippery, and the jade color looks even better in person. I also like that it automatically wakes the Kindle when you open it and puts it to sleep when you close it. Only small thing is the fabric might show wear over time if you’re rough with it, but so far it’s holding up great. It does what it’s supposed to do and keeps the screen protected.

Bought this as a cover for my new kindle. Fit great and protects kindle from scratches. Also like the dark color since it makes it less likely to show any dirt.

I wanted a case that would protect my Kindle without adding a lot of extra weight or bulk, and this one does that very well. The Kindle fits securely in the case, and everything feels well made without making the device noticeably heavier or harder to hold. One of my favorite features is the cover. It folds completely behind the Kindle while reading, which makes it comfortable to hold with one hand. The magnetic closure works well, and opening the cover wakes the Kindle while closing it puts it back to sleep. It's a small convenience, but it's something I appreciate every time I use it. I also like the fabric exterior. It gives the case a nicer look and feel than a basic plastic cover, and the water-resistant material provides a little extra peace of mind when traveling or reading around drinks. Just keep in mind that this is a water-safe cover, not a waterproof enclosure for the Kindle itself. The only real drawback is the price. There are certainly less expensive Kindle cases available, and you're paying a premium for Amazon's own case. That said, the excellent fit, lightweight design, materials, and overall quality make it feel like a case that was designed specifically for the Kindle rather than a generic alternative. Overall, I'm very pleased with it. It protects the Kindle without taking away from what makes the device so convenient to carry and use. I would recommend it to someone looking for a simple, lightweight and well-made cover.

This thing just feels GOOD. I was concerned I wouldn’t like the case because I like how the bare kindle feels but I can say 100% it feels nicer in this case and just as light as without. I literally flung it onto the concrete on accident and there was only a little scrape on a corner and no damage to the kindle. Only drawback is if you wanted to use like a pop socket or put stickers on your kindle then you’re out of luck because the fabric won’t allow that but I mean the nice texture of the fabric is a huge plus in my opinion and the kindle doesn’t really need any extra grips because it’s so small. I have tiny hands and I’m always fine.

I had originally planned to buy a third party case for my new Kindle Colorsoft to suit my taste and style, but I ultimately made the “boring” choice and got this standard case. It does a good job protecting my Kindle from accidental drops and I can confirm that it is waterproof. The flap gives it a book like feel while reading at work. A solid, cost effective product

Looks great, feels great, and is water resistant. I love how light the case is and the fact that it gives you a real book feel with a folding cover. When you open the case, the kindle automatically wakes, and vice versa for sleep. The magnetic cover also sticks to the back of the case while you read so it’s not flapping everywhere while you’re holding it.

Love this case. Its easy to clean, fits the kindle perfectly, is nice to hold and even magnetizes to the back to easily hold it open. Would really recommend!

Sturdy and functional. Fits unit well. Was certainly more durable than any options available in store. One "wish" for comment...that it had some sort of strap or holder or edge holder not for carrying but to hold on to while reading. I previously read from kindle app on a tablet, and the case had an edge that you could hold on to while reading so this is a bit of an adjustment, but it works great and I would still recommend. It is a bit pricey, but worth it.

Very nice feel and material. I hope this one doesn't fall apart like so many others that use plastic and faux leather. I selected it for this reason, so let's see how long it lasts

As with anything electronic, it's best to have a protective covering of some sort. This is not a protector per se, but by just opening it, the reader goes to your last page read.
