A: Hello Raquelly0701! This device does in fact connect to Wi-Fi but it is not intended for use on specific websites such as AO3. The Wi-Fi functionality is to keep it updated and to download E-books and audiobooks to from the Kindle Store or Audible. However, you can always download AO3 fanfics in MOBI format to your computer and either transfer them via a USB cable or you can send it to your Kindle's unique email address. From Amazon's website: "Kindle Paperwhite is IPX8 rated to protect against accidental immersion in up to two meters of fresh water for up to 60 minutes, and up to 0.25 meters of seawater for up to 3 minutes." So you don't have to worry about any accidental spills or drops into the pool this summer, but I wouldn't recommend using it as a float!
