Great chip for moderately powerful tiny builds. Paired it with 32GB Crucial Ballistix Max 4400 and 2 TB Crucial P5 SSD, in a Velka V3-RL.

I was skeptical about buying this processor over the 5700X. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t sure if it could keep up with some of the AAA games I play on pc, but it’s done very well.

If building a Home Theater PC (HTPC), this CPU should be on your short list. It is 8C/16T, and while compared to its sibling 5800X is missing some L3 cache, 128GB RAM support and PCIEx 4.0, the addition of Vega 8 on-board graphics makes this an awesome budget choice in these GPU-lean times. While the CPU performance is very close to the 5800X, the on-board graphics will let you do some light gaming at 1080, and fairly good gaming at 720 for most games. The on-board graphics uses system memory, so it is a good idea to pair this CPU with the fastest DDR4 you can get with the lowest latency.

Performs great for variety of games from simple to heavy. No lag, fairly easy install with new mobo and case with existing other parts from prior build. Nice that heat sink & thermal paste are pre-installed. Only issue was ensuring to attach to my mobo prior to case install for heat sink screws to reach. Also had to use specific boards, but very happy with the combo we used. Easily play small things like minecraft as well as CSGO, GTA, SIMS, with no issue or big GPU needed.

If you can get this on sale, buy it. If you are waiting for GPU prices to stabilize, this is the perfect card to hold you over. The graphics blew me away, and the fact that you can play almost any game (with the correct settings) is incredible. I mostly used this as a work PC, but after seeing how powerful this thing is, I kept it in my build after getting my hands on a GPU. It runs incredibly fast as a dedicated CPU. The only downside to this chip is the lack of PCIE 4.0 support. The good news is, unless you’re constantly using your storage, a 3rd Gen NVMe SSD will give you plenty of speed. I’ve built three other PCs with top performing NVMe 4.0 drives, and I honestly can’t tell a difference besides a slight advantage in moving files around. Get a nice NVMe 3.0 and you will be more than happy if using it with this chip. Bravo, AMD.

Excellent price and performance had no problems with installation. Running great no problems. If I had a compliant it would be the slow shipping time, but it was close to Christmas, so I guess it wasn't too bad.

Superb processor with decent graphics included. This guy stands in my htpc build. And can even run most games on medium without dedicated gpu

Built a linux box using this processor. The integrated graphics work perfectly in linux gaming. I am running older titles, and by old 10 years at least, and in linux I can max out the settings for those games. No stutter, no lag, no pixelated problems, just easy smooth gaming.

Works great. CPU power like a champ and the GPU portion isn't bad either as long as you're not expecting the world. Sips power unless you enable PBO, which still doesn't use a ton. Probably the best bang for the buck in the currently available cpu lineup when on sale, despite all CPUs being overpriced right now.

It’s a solid contender at the 200$ price point and sometimes it’s on sale even on Amazon cheaper so if you’re looking for a cheap but good cpu this is for you.

This is a very powerful CPU. It overcame all of the shortcomings of the previous generations of APUs, and even gained a bit more power for the iGPU. In this era of video card shortages and resulting price increases, this is a very easy decision- unless you’re planning to play AAA games at high resolution. The only caveat is the existence of the 5600G, which has much of the video performance at a lower price.

At the time of this review, Bitcoin miners, scalpers, transistor shortages, Dracula, Bigfoot, etc. are HOARDING all available GPU's! Even the cheapest non-namebrand GPUS cost like around $500!! Save yourself the money and trouble of getting one! Buy this because it includes a capable GPU!

This was my first build and the processor met my needs. I am not a gamer so the integrated graphics work just fine for me. Had I known the 'G' eliminated PCIe 4.0 for my M.2 storage I probably would not have gone this way. (would have purchased the 'X' and low end but expensive anyway graphics card)
