Install was easy, booted right up and performs really good in games

Super fast and incredibly smooth. The 9900X3D tears through gaming and multitasking without even trying. Load times are basically instant, and the extra cache really does make games feel snappier. Runs cooler than I expected, too. If you’re building on AM5 and want a processor that just feels effortless, this one’s a winner.

Bought this cpu after several suggested the ryzen 9 9900x3d or the 9950x3d. Had this cpu for about 1 year now and it’s been nothing but problems. Games run like crap very laggy. Put my i9-14900kbback in and everything works great. Motherboard and all is new. Gigabyte x870e master Corsair Dominator titanium ddr5 2x32gb expo / XMP Ryzen 9 9909x3d Msi rtx 5070ti ventus Msi MAG 80+ 1000w Corsair titan rx 360 lcd rgb cooler Corsair rx case fans x 16 Samsung 980 pro 2tb ssd D: Crucial’ t705 4tb ssd C: 14,100 mb/s I do not overclock everything is set to boost but no overclock. I am running expo2 memory but have tried all settings If I swap just the cpu and mb and use all other parts it runs like gold. I stopped using amd years ago when he cou degraded really fast. This was back in the day of the 486 and 586.

Love my Ryzen it’s everything I thought it would be

Bought the Ryzen 9 9900X3D and it ran great for a few weeks—until it died mid-game with no warning. Screen went black, and the system wouldn’t post again. I swapped the motherboard, RAM, PSU, and even tried a different cooler, but nothing worked until I put in a different CPU. That confirmed it: this chip failed under normal use. Now I’m stuck waiting for AMD’s RMA process. No overclocking, no abuse—just a clean build that randomly failed. Extremely disappointed. Not worth the risk for such an expensive processor.
