Terrific Show Cut Down in Prime
With Buffy: The Vampire Slayer making a name for itself on the WB, the network decided to give the titular vampire with a soul his own show, and the result was a series that never pulled any punches and managed to become one of those rare genre shows that rises into true television greatness.
While its parent series focused on the trials and tribulations of growing up, Angel instead focused on redemption. The cast of characters are all broken in some way, and looking for someone to forgive them. They're outcasts who find solace and strength in each other. However, Angel also focuses on the pain that friends can only inflict on each other, dealing in betrayal, dissapointment and all sorts of shortcomings.
You don't have to be a fantasy nerd to appreciate this show, and the stories are some of the most compelling you'll find on TV. Though the series struggled to find its own identity in season one, it eventually grows very strong legs.
Sadly, it was prematurely cancelled in season 5 (the best season of the show), yet it did manage to wrap up most dangling plot lines and end on a satisfying note in keeping with the themes of the series.

TV Gold
I love Angel. Just the way the characters are depicted make you believe they are real people, or not people, and you really care about them. It's the same with all of Joss Whedon's shows. The only problem with this series is it drags in seasons 3 and 4, and it seems like they ran out of good ideas. But it picks up on the 5, and my favorite, season. This is a great price for a great show.

Must See Series
I love this series.
The story starts out where Buffy The Vampire Slayer season 3 left off.
The acting is great and the story lines are interesting.
Definetely worht watching!
I bought the set and I am happy that I did.
