Questions & Answers
I am a little confused. Nowhere does it say surge protector. Other anker products are very clear about surge protection.. With this product, surge protection is not mentioned in the description or the specs... only in an answer to a customer question.
Answered by Anker TeamThe Anker 350 USB Power Strip, which seems to match your described product (10-in-1 USB power strip), does feature surge protection with a capacity of 2100 Joules. Additionally, it includes both a Surge Protection Indicator and a Grounded Indicator for clear monitoring. For your specific concern, while the product page may not prominently mention it, this model does indeed provide surge protection as confirmed by its specifications.
5’ long power cord is not adequate for my needs Is it advisable/safe to plug it into another extension cord?
Answered by Anker TeamGenerally, it is safe to plug a power cord into an extension cord, provided you use a high-quality extension cord that supports the electrical capacity and requirements of your power strip. However, ensure the extension cord has sufficient load capacity to handle all connected devices, as overloading can lead to electrical issues or safety hazards. For example, many Anker power strips, like the Anker 521 Power Strip, have specific output limits (e.g., AC outlets: 1250W max). Verify the wattage and amp rating of the extension cord to ensure compatibility and avoid exceeding the limits. Always prioritize safety and use extension cords that meet safety standards.
What is the power output of the USB-C and USB-A ports? What about when multiple ports are in use? Does Quick Charge and/or Power Delivery work when both USB-C ports are being used simultaneously?
Answered by Anker TeamBased on the knowledge fragments, here is the relevant information for Anker SOLIX products regarding USB-C and USB-A power output: USB-C and USB-A Power Output: Anker SOLIX PS30 has a USB-C port with a maximum output of 5V/3A and a USB-A port with a maximum output of 5V/2.4A. The removable battery of EverFrost 2 includes a USB-C port with a maximum output of 60W and USB-A with a maximum output of 12W. For Anker SOLIX C1000, the USB-C ports provide outputs of 100W and 30W, while USB-A ports deliver 24W. When Multiple Ports Are in Use: Based on available information, multiple ports can be used simultaneously; Anker SOLIX C1000 states it can power multiple devices at once with its 11 total ports. Quick Charge and Power Delivery When Using Both USB-C Ports Simultaneously: For Anker SOLIX C1000, one USB-C port supports up to 100W and the other up to 30W. While it accommodates simultaneous usage, details regarding Quick Charge or Power Delivery during simultaneous usage are not explicitly provided.
